Well as much as I felt lucky I had beer and not Malort...Now I want Malort. 17-1...err...3-1 bad guys.
Again, no pressure on the ball so a goal. Why does the Fire just allow the other team play a dangerous ball with no pressure. Baffling.
It makes a great highlight with such an accurate pass in and the CB 5+ yards off the goal scorer behind him…
44:52 Gaston left his man, who made a run into the box...Salquist left Swiderski to run with him 44:53 Rafa moves from far side of the box between the ball and unmarked Swiderski...and Souquet moves in to mark Swiderski. 45:05 Rafa begins to move back to LCB when Souquet leaves Swiderski and Rafa realizes Salquist is slow to move back centrally...leaving him unmarked 45:13 Souquet and Salquist are to the left of the LCB and Swiderski continues wider to the vacated space. 45:15 Again Lassister does nothing to pressure the ball and allows service over the top of Rafa to Swiderski...who does what DP9s do...finishes. The finish looked bad on Rafa, but that was a hot mess of team defense.
You know how magnets can repel each other and move apart. Sometimes the Fire defenders look like they are experiencing a similar phenomenon.
Rafa’s mistake was that he was in front of the player and passed the assignment to Souquet who was behind the player and couldn’t defend a cross in. Rafa was between the scorer and the passer. That’s 100% on Czichos. EDIT: Not pressuring the crosser is part of it too. Kudos to @lurak on that call.
Why are the Charlotte players attacking our goal with a 3-1 lead? Is that even allowed? I thought after your team went up the rules said you have to bunker inside your 18 and ride out the rest of the game with pointless clearances to the other teams fullbacks? No?
Not sure which level of soccer Dean is trying solidify his position in but pretty sure it is below MLS if tonight is any indication.
Whelp....Fede has retained the 'master yellow car collector" title...which is quite the feat with Fabi and Kellyn in the mix.
