With 2 rounds to go starting tonight, of 25 total rounds the league is still on fire with very very little defined for the playoffs and relegation.

As of right now only 3 teams of 8 possible are guarenteed in the playoffs while 11 teams with 2 rounds to go are still in danger of relegation. Tonight only 1 team can be mathematically relegated (Gama if they lose). So much will be decided on the last round on Sunday.

Thats quite amazing. The entire season most teams have been pretty close with just a few rounds ago team in the relegation zone only a couple of straight wins away from the Playoff 8 zone. The season is at a record 3 goals per game average.

Quite a few large clubs are in extereme danger of relegation, among them Palmeiras, Botafog, MY Internacional, Flamengo and Bahia. At least two are likely to go to the 2nd division.

As I type Im digging in for a life and death match between Inter and Cruzeiro which I will watch Live on Globo Internacional (596 on DISH). Inter at home MUST win. Back in 1999 they were in the same situation and DUNGA in the last days of his carreer scored a header of all things in the last minute of the game to save Inter from relegation. Inter never in the 2nd division needs another miracle tonight.

The entire round will be crazy. You can follow the scores live as they happen by going to :

Gama is officially out. Your Inter is not looking like a good bet to survive. Mengo looks like they'll be safe.

This is an INSANE but great championship. Inter lost at home in a heartbreaking game last night...but they can still avoid relegation if they win their last game and watch the scoreboard a little. Easier said than done.

Amazingly things are SO tight that Inter can win and still be relegated or tie and not be relegated depending on scores.

For all the bad management in the Brazilian League this current league setup is gripping. 1 Round to go and only 1 team is relegated while another 7 are still fighting. Meanwhile on the top of the board only 3 are in the playoffs everyone else still trying to get the 5 remaining spots.

Tonight and Sunday are going to be insane.

Last night was the worst night in the glorious 93 year history of Sport Club Internacional. They are 1 step away from dropping in the Serie B for the first time ever...BUT 1 game remains. I think Palmeiras x Flamengo is palying on Fox today.
