GoTyme Bank Match Up: Filipinas vs Uzbekistan!
The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and GoTyme Bank proudly present “GoTyme Bank Match Up,” a new initiative bringing elite international football right here to Filipino fans!
Kicking off the series, our very own Philippine Women’s National Team (Filipinas) will face Uzbekistan Women’s National Team in an international friendly.
    [IMG] Date: Tuesday, October 29
    [IMG] Time: 5:00 PM
[IMG] Venue: Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila
PFF President John Anthony Gutierrez shared, “This match helps the Filipinas prepare for the Asian Cup and next year’s World Cup qualifiers.”
Head Coach Mark Torcaso added, “Uzbekistan is a strong side — it’s a great challenge for us.”

It looks like a few new professional players including Alexia Blanco, Emma Tovar, Nya Harrison, and Madison Ayson have finally obtained their passports after a long wait since they have been invited to an official friendly rather than just a scrimmage.

Since they are still in the middle of the US NCAA division season though some college based players who played well in the past were not included including youngsters Alexa Pino, Arianna Markey and Katana Norman.

It also looks like Maz Pacheco has still not received her passport.

And of course Sarina Bolden is still recovering from her ACL tear injury which will probably sideline her for a year.

[IMG] The Philippines U17 Women’s National Team have officially qualified for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 as Group A winners! [IMG][IMG]

No goals conceded in this campaign and 11 goals scored.

Most of the players are from the Makati FC a local club that sends boy's and girl's teams to international youth competition like the Gothia Cup in Sweden regularly and fielded a very young women's team in the 2025 PFF Women's League that included many of the same players that are part of this U17 team.

Their captain centerback Aiselyn Sia however was a former US national team player who was a rock on defence helping marshall a tall backline that didn't allow a goal all tournament long.

Apparently some of the pro players in camp(including those I listed above) are still awaiting their passports so they might not be able to to play on Oct. 29.

Many of the new players did not play since they haven't received their passports yet.

I am starting to think that Torcaso is the not right coach for this team.

There will be [IMG][IMG] Filipinas taking part in this month's training camp to prepare for the Southeast Asian Games in December.

Filipinas head coach Mark Torcaso emphasized the importance of this training block for both team selection and long-term development.

“This is a really exciting window for us as it’s our preparation window going into the SEA Games. We’ve got a nice big squad to select from to attend the SEA Games and we’ll use this camp as an opportunity to fine-tune that and pick the best available 23 for the SEA Games,” Torcaso said.

He also welcomed the return of striker Sarina Bolden, who rejoins the camp following an injury layoff.

“It’s also really great to have Sarina come back into camp after her absence with injury and we’ll work through her rehab and her processes to bring her back to play as soon as possible,” he noted. “Unfortunately, she won’t be ready for the SEA Games but our goal is to have her ready for the Asian Cup.”

Torcaso added that the camp gives opportunities to several rising talents.

“There’s also a number of young players that feature in this team that haven’t had much opportunity in the last few months because of unavailability due to university commitments and we look forward to seeing them with a really strong team available considering it’s outside of the FIFA window,” he said. “We plan to go there and make the final games and bring home a medal. I’m really excited by this group and this team that we’re bringing and we’re looking forward to making the country proud.”
