That would probably work for the first 6 months, until nike brings out boots with stilts instead of studs.
"Marca" is reporting that. P.S. He isn´t getting younger or better but still would be one of the best wingers in EPL...
Figo has at least one more year in him and he'll probably be free but Madrid have reportedly just asked for 2 million
Are you kidding me??? Figo is not crap... Hey ok he is getting old but trust me if he went to liverpool he would bring a touch of class to your team, and also having him and gerrard in the same midfeild.. Thats a good mid.... If he does go to liver pool I wish him the best, and I hope (IF HE DOES GO THERE) he helps you guys win the premeire league and fA Cup...
He's made an agreement with Liverpool, but the deal is not done. Real are now demanding a transfer fee that Rafa is not willing to pay.
Please, don't mention a transfer speculation news story with the title "signs for Liverpool". The article: "According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is giving serious thought to offering Real Madrid's Luis Figo a two-year deal ... " I don't see anything about signing there.
the link is three days old and pure speculation but WAS titled "Figo Signs For Liverpool"... if you read the subsequent comments, it was all based on some text message theguy on the other site received. he has since moved that article. The actual THREAD was named "Figo?"... you guys are seriously a bunch of tight arses sometimes...
Well according to the very popular newpaper in Portugal "OJOGO" and "ABOLA" it's almost a done deal.. I would past the link but I don't think anyone here can read portuguese.... but if you want let me know... Cheers!
ahhh here's the link... this was just posted moments ago.... it's very clost to being a done deal... http://www.abola.pt/nnh/index.asp?op=ver¬icia=84734&d=1&tema=2
Quality player, definitely has two more seasons of top performance in him, would be a great buy for liverpool and especially help them in the CL. Congratulations are in order me thinks.
It would be nice if Real let him go, but it does not look to be a done deal until they do so. Then again, if Real aren't looking for him to play much, I'm sure they would like to be free of his wages.
I'm pretty much working off the article on soccernet... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=336713&cc=5739
Just for the sake of interesting discussion, where do you see him playing? With his high wages, I'd hope they would expect to play him frequently. If this goes through, we would have gone from having an unsteady right wing position to having Figo, Garcia, Zenden, Gonzalez, and Nunez. Doesn't sound to shabby to me. Here's an idea: Figo/Zenden wide right with Garcia/Gonzalez just behind Cisse/Morientes in that 4-4-1-1 that Rafa loves for away matches. I don't think I've ever used "/" with that much pride
Yeah I don't mean to ask you directly. Just wondering if anyone knows how this works. I don't get why Real Madrid can demand $$ as I thought his contract was out.
