I sympathise with Ukraine and what they are going through but can’t see the correlation of why they should replace Iran if they are removed. Surely it would be the next team in line from Asia plus we can’t have three European teams in one group.

 

It would. There is no way Fifa could remove Iran and then decide Ukraine takes their place. The United Arab Emirates are next in line and would not be very happy.

France are either going to do very well despite having quite a few players with injury and fitness problems or they will implode like nearly all defending champions do now a days.( And if they implode it probably be spectacular and in a way only the French team can.)

Not sure they'll be a disaster but Pogba out is a huge problem for them, he always saves his best for France. Even when they flopped out in Euro '20, Pogba was the one who really turned up. They don't really have any midfield to come in who matches his creativity at his best.

On top of Kante that's their starting midfield out which is going to be difficult to overcome in terms of actually winning the tournament. Huge hole of experience there to fill now. Still have the talent to do well though.

 

Wouldn't be against playing them in the quarters. I think a midfield of Bellingham and rice is better than camavinga and tchouameni. Especially if benzema isn't fully fit. Mbappe is the only player I would really fear
