Some "journalists" literally wrote columns about "empty seats". Congrats for them on making FIFA look good. SMH

5th generation? When do you think Italian immigration to Canada occurred? 5th would be something like Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, first wave USA. Not Canada.

I hear that two have been arrested for this and at least some of the gear recovered.

Not too hot or humid in Boston and New York today. Previous 2 days were brutal, so got lucky today.

I guess this comes as good news mostly for Scotland..

Still over 30C expected in Foxborough, enough to complain about. The first three games today will have legitimate reason for hydration breaks, but nothing extreme or unexpected in the conditions. Vancouver will probably close the roof even if it doesn't need to.

    Not at 9-11pm.

Anyway, its all about the humidity with east coast weather, and its quite pleasant today on that front.

Swiss v Quatar stadium in Santa Clara impressively full considering such an unattractive game. Saturday game, 1st for the venue helps, but still… great crowd.

As has been the case at every game so far, there are gaps in the most expensive seats.

Yeah. And I wasn't expecting the wave to break out in this match. Those Qatari's and Swiss get crazy sometimes!!!

Nothing more than Switzerland deserved. Strolling about like it was a practice game.

Plus why won't they show the graphic for the potential offside before the Swiss penalty?

Hopefully Brazil wins so these animals don't destroy Brussels tonight as they did in 2022.

Not impressed by Brazil. Yeah, tough opponent but defense went MIA on occasions, and they never really looked like favorites. Moreover, the Neymar deflator effect hasn't even kicked in. :speechless:

They do have some decent squad depth though, even compared to other title contenders like Argentina and Portugal, so maybe that will factor in later on
