He was one of the very limited number of CAF officials selected for the World Cup. Not a direct answer to your question but it should inform you of something.

Should there be a weather thread? Just checking the forecasts for the first two days, the most notable info is chances of thunderstorms in Guadalajara and Toronto.

Would be kinda funny if the peanut gallery around here focused so much on USA weather calamity but the worst weather during opening matches will actually be in Canada and Mexico.
    Epic.

A nice day is forecast for the opener in L.A.:
    Sunny, high 73, low 64
(you need to check LAX where SoFi is near the coast, not downtown, which is further inland).

It’s a domed stadium outside weather doesn’t really matter.

    Not true.

I too thought it was a dome but technically is not a dome.
    It has a canopy.

Weather in the area can still be bad hypothetically but yes the canopy helps keep out some rain.
But in bad storms water can still hit fans.

It's canopied by a separate unconnected structure, not enclosed and not air-conditioned.

What's the point of the canopy? It doesn't rain much in LA. And its never cold.
I could see if it was Buffalo.

Half of England fans polled want Scotland to do well in this tournament.

A “majority” of Scotland fans want England to fail according to talkSport radio. :ROFLMAO:

"The United States doesn't want to see supporters from some countries including Ivory Coast."

Ivory Coast supporters abandon World Cup due to visa denials.

But doesn't that imply that half of English fans also want Scotland to fail (or don't care).

Same for Scotland Supporters, some got an email 5 hours before their flight being told that they weren't allowed to travel to the US.

Delusional people who think this is minor and all will be forgotten are in serious denial. Infantino isn't eternal and World Cups are still being voted on by every FAs. Those FAs & supporters won't be forgetting this next time.

Best for the the US to skip a turn next time it's in CONCACAF and seek redemption for the Women's World Cup to try to win some trust back

Not necessarily. It depends on how the survey was asked of course. They could be apathetic and not care.

But they were making it seem like it was not even close to 50/50 from the other side. They did not really state the actual stats though on the radio.
