I thought Djiku and Salisu were solid lol. Idk whose out there that could usurp them. Jeremie Frimpong is a notable player with Ghanaian roots, but stuck with Netherlands. Don't know many more potential dual national prospects
Congrats, @Catracho_Azul ! Honduras are now firmly in the driver's seat in Group C... And with Costa Rica looking likely to salt away Nicaragua, Haiti will depend on their matchup with the ticos next month: a loss likely dooms them, a draw keeps them hanging on by a thread, and a win would give them the inside track on 2nd place.
I'll be rooting for Haiti next month. A draw would see us into the World Cup if we take care of business in Nicaragua.
Can anybody explain what on earth is going on with Sweden??? They've got two of the most expensive strikers in the game, playing for two of the top EPL clubs, and they've gotten 1 point from four matches and just got shut out at home by Kosovo! Are they just coasting because they know that they're guaranteed a spot in the UEFA playoffs by virtue of winning their Nations League group?
i think there will be around 5 teams ending on 15 points in that runners-up table with some eliminated and some movi g to the caf playoffs.
this african qualification format is evil. rhey should have had parallel kickoffs in all groups on the last matchday. in that way, Nigeria knew exactly what result they needed at the cost of Burkina Faso who now need to hope for a slip of DR Congo at home to Sudan.
2 draws vs. last placed team tells a different story. they would have had no chance, if Eritea hadn't withdrew.
With our new coach 4 wins and 2 draws during the last 6 qualifiers. Zimbabwe is far better than the worst teams in most of the groups.
Some interesting results in the European qualifying and we have to ask is it down to the nations league?
