Very similar to the Vinicius PK controversy. Jude needs to step up and take control of the situation, he’s in the running for individual awards - can’t be acting like you’re just one of the backup dancers.

Mbappe has shown him how to lose with style and still collect a trophy.

Well, who's going to tell them that Michael Olise already broke the record with seven assists?

Olise apparently broke down in tears after the game. Seems to be the story shared on german social media.

I think you’re right there was no meeting of the two at the end. Pretty worrisome if you ask me. Definitely not a good sign.

it wouldn’t be detrimental if they worked together on the field like Benz, Ronnie, and Gareth used to. I don’t think they were hanging out on the weekends, but they worked on the field. It took sacrifice and compromise from mostly Bale and Benz but essentially all 3. With these guys the issue might be that they might get along, I don’t know, but they certainly don’t show it in the field. Mourinho is a hard ass for a reason he may completely bench someone who the majority of fans don’t want benched. It’s just the way it might go.

He's already a Worid Cup winner and scored plenty of goals in important knockout wins.

You KNOW it's going to Yamal. Great player and might not be a bad choice tbh, but he's already been marketed to win these awards before kicking a ball (Just like Mbappe as in 2018).

They hung out quite alot during the trophy celebration. They are childhood friends. Like that they took the initiative and called the 4th keeper there to get his medal.

Wouldn't worry at all about that. Above all they are professionals working towards a shared goal. But it's probably a sneak peak into the fractions that happened last season which havent entirely been extinguished. Mou will be their common enemy so it wont be long until they become best buddies.

That was one of the first things I noticed too. Jude has been greeting all teammates during games but in this one he and Mbappe avoided eachother. Mbappe did really well going round congratulating the English players on their win.

Need their heads screwed on for the upcoming season. No egos, no fighting just trophies.

Crazy to think this is a World Cup final starting lineup. Feel like someone could have said this is Sevilla's starting XI at some point and it would not be surprising. Just goes to show how well these guys play as a group.

Spain is the textbook definition of a great TEAM. We lacked that last season and it doesn't matter how many big players you squeeze into the line up, if you dont play as a team just talent alone wont get you as far as you'd like.

Won't mind Spain winning if that makes Florentino to go for Rodri.

I would definitely prefer Spain to win, no question about that. And Florentino should have already locked Rodri in. I understand there may have been some questions before the WC, as this season he was still struggling a bit (coming off a bad injury). But we can see now that Rodri still has it, and we already know he's precisely the type of player we need.

If we actually don't go for him, and spend the whole transfer window chasing Olise, who's very unlikely to join us this summer anyway; we may be looking at another year where we have trouble keeping the ball in midfield. Which would be very frustrating.
