Spain do what England didn’t do because the coach is a shit house and control the ball well. They won’t bunker. Spain win for me. All day.
Spain should win man but so should have Egypt And cape And Swiss And the Britts Seems like they just won’t stop playing with peoples emotions
I don't care for Argentina and as a Real Madrid I by no means am a fan of Messi. I've grown to finally appreciate him more over the years as I was a bit of a hater growing up like many here. But it's like they are destined to win this one like Madrid was on ucl 22.
Even so, how do you let Argentina have that many scoring chances playing in the low block ? Players were losing track of attackers in the box on those crosses and they weren't even outnumbered. The goal should have come from an odd deflection or broken play. They came clean and Argentina hit the post twice plus had 2 other clean headers other than the goals. It was atrocious defending.
Spain needs to score, possibly multiple times to beat Argentina. Spain control time just wonderfully, the game flows so fast and fluid you look up and it's the 85th minute, and I'm confident they can do that even playing against superheroes but you can't help but wonder what happens if their finishing let's them down.
Once heads cool down people will see that England only had the better man in goal. The fact that Bellingham complained about the goalkeeping after one of the goals made it very strange for me, Pickford was a wall, felt incredibly sharp with the reflexes.
Many saying England had Argentina right where they wanted. I guess in the scoreboard yeah. But playing wise ? Argentina were better. Like in the Spain game, what England did well was contain Argentina fairly well in their side of the field for most of the 1st half. But England didn't really create jack in terms of scoring chances. In fact, the best chance to score a goal in the 1st half was from Argentina IIRC. England's goal came from a long ball and bad clearance. England could have pulled off because that's how these games are. Tight. But that was not a dominating performance at any point in the game for them. Argentina were deserved winners because they dominated play and created chances after going down a goal.
I'm a neutral. As soon as I saw him clam up after going 1-0 up, I knew and would bet on it that Argentina would score and with so much time left. He clammed up and basically gave Argentina the ball to keep attacking them. why the ******** would you do that, when Argentina were not even having that many chances when England were searching for their goal? England supporters have every right to be pissed at this guy, it was one of the most boneheaded decisions I have ever seen. Even Egypt kept searching for another goal after they scored. Luckily and judging from the way Spain played against France, if they go up, they will not close up and I don't expect them to unless maybe there was minutes left for the game to end.
100% this. Every time they face a team that can handle the ball, they look lost and completely inept.
Because he was both a coward and a bonehead. I really feel sorry for the English supporters to go out like this. This guy had the game in his hand, if England continued to play like they were when they were searching for a goal, they would be in the Final.
That is so creepy and bizarre. I don't care if it was Messi, who the hell would allow a strange grown ass man to bathe their baby?
He's a great coach, but his strategy last night was one of the dumbest strategies you could undertake Vs. a hyper attacking team like Argentina. I can't tell you how many times I've predicted that a 1-0 lead would be overturned by another team because Coaches are too scared to continue to play offensively.
Unless you're supporting your own country, it's very strange to me for someone to support Real Madrid and want Spain to lose in the final. Especially when they didn't need to cheat to get there.
Honestly, shut down the middle and give Argentina the wing and let them cross is not a bad plan. You're main job is to clear the crosses coming in. If you can't do that in that formation, against a team that isn't strong in the air, you're doing something wrong. Granted Argentina has players that are highly technical and can more often than not deliver proper high quality crosses.
My guess is it says expulsion is for fans who do that. It's ludicrous to kick a team off. AFA will end up getting a fine.
As long as there is no bullshit controversy. I don't see Spain losing the final. This is a very high IQ team that plays extraordinarily well under pressure. Also France has a scarier strike force than Argentina does and Spain were able to weather it with ease. If they play the way they did against France where they held on to the ball and tired them out, I just can't see Spain losing. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some controversy to make sure Messi gets his second.
I can very very much see Spain losing the final. They do certain things tremendously well but so far nobody has kept Argentina from scoring and the amount of quality options they have in attack is some serious business. The Julian Martinez and the Enzo goals in the last two games were both sensational.

Madridistas from Spain want Spain to win. There are no Madrid players in this team. Why should I have any attachment to Spain? Argentina, being the villains that they are and all, still represent CONMEBOL and South American football who have recently been downplayed and diminished. So I’ll go for them
I think teams have shown the best way to beat ptb teams is to spam crosses into the box. We did it often in 23/24 then stopped doing it after that and we didnt have a plan b once going down and teams shutting up shop. You are right, Argentina should never have had that many free headers or time and space to take shots but the best way to prevent them is to strangle the source. Montiel, Messi and De Paul were taking turns loading, aiming and crossing for a whole 30 mins with about 6 Argentinian players in the box. At some point one was going to go in even if it had to be by ricocheting or rebound. Pickford is no Tibu who would eat those crosses up.
