Nowadays, you have more than enough subs to bring fresh players and try to play the ball.

He is the coach who didn't call neither of Palmer, Foden and Wharton.

I had to laugh that the first thing that was mentioned on Tim Vickery's show who I enjoy listening to a lot, is how this lost hundreds of millions for English football and the Premier league. It's what I was talking about here yesterday.

I had to smile as Tuchel's assistant talked about Premier League grit and strength in the halftime when they got bullied on the field.

This place called the last man that talked this as "the philosopher" (also the bald fraud), even though he had delivered the goods.

Again, I understand theory, but putting rubber on the road is where the trophies are won.

There's a very real version of events where Argentina beat Spain and win the final as Spain just shows struggles to finish.

Just wanted to add that Tuchel didn't call any of Palmer, Foden and Wharton. :)
He set up this England team to play like this like the previous coach. It is not like that they don't have technical players.

All that does nothing for yesterday's match though.

I am trying to understand what he was intending to do, not say I agree with it.

Also, I completely disagree with the idea that "if it would have been somebody else" / "if he would've done this" that they would have won. England hasn't won for an eternity for a reason.

It's this boundless arrogance/hubris of somehow this being the moment.

Thomas Muller and Iker basically calling the coach a coward too.

Müller was pretty silent when it came to criticizing the guy he lives next door to.

Tuchel pretty much said he doesn't believe in the team after the Norway match.

If heads cool down people will realize there was enough reason for that too though.

This is why a high profile coach won't take on this job either. Most thankless task ever. You win and it's the players, you lose and you practically cost them a world cup.

Tuchel also coached a team with infinitely more quality. Carlo didnt ask Bruno to miss a penalty or Endrick to miss a 1v1. And let's not pretend England's game against Norway wasn't full of controversy.

This is crazy destiny. Doubt anything like this has happened in sports at the highest level.

I think neither England nor Brazil played football in a way that sort of captivates the imagination so to speak.

People were praising Bellingham for midfield control in games where England had practically none of it.

England have the quality to play their own football and beat Argentina who honestly havent looked good in ANY game this tournamnet. This was a weak game make no mistake. Brazil have no quality lets not get hung up on their name.

We're back at the hypothetical world cup trophies that England could/should have won though.

It's impossible to rewrite history. What if Endrick doesn't miss that 1 vs 1?

Everyone in English football pouncing on Tuchel now. They were waiting for this moment when he left out some big names. :D Carra proclaimed Foden as the next Zidane before his 007 Euros and Tuchel didn't even call him lol.

With all these late comebacks Argentina reminds me of Real Madrid. They have to win this at this point. I'm not rooting for anyone on the final tbh I only care about my national team but with what's happening they might as well win the whole thing and Messi will go down as the undisputed, undeniable goat and I never thought I'd say that.

Konsa was the one tasked with crossing in the end. Unbelievable that Trent wasn't on that plane lol

There was a lot of arrogance from European pundits and players after 2018 World Cup. European teams had won 4 World Cups in a row, there was no semi finalists from South America in 2018.

Mbappe belittling South American football caused a lot of outrage there. Argentina winning back to back which hasn't happened since 1958, 62 Brazilian teams would make all that European arrogance look silly.

England should go all in after Pep. Throw everything at him to manage their team.

Bad news for Trent. He was already dropped in Tuchel's first call up which was soon after his league winning season with Pool. Strong sign that Tuchel doesn't like that style of FB.

Foden, Cole Palmer etc could get back in the mix if they perform well at club level.

He and Tuchel have a personal relationship.

The discussion is trending towards a British manager.
