We spent an entire season of the Real Madrid players blaming the coach for their performance only for one of Real Madrid's star players to blame his coach for the performance. Honestly, this "I know better" attitude is kind of fascinating.

Let me be clear, I think he had a fantastic tournament and showed the same form he had in his first six months here.

Unfortunately, many of these superstars are cosplaying as superstars. They grew up watching the top guys of the last decade and think they're on the same level of consistency. They are not. When they do well, they puff their chest out and go on social media to gloat, talk shit in the media instead of keeping things in house and then they drop a stinker and go into sulk/anger mode rather than introspection and self-evaluation.

It's difficult to teach and coach this generation. Pogba showed us what was to come.

I thought they sat back to catch their breath and would start to play again but they never got out the low block and it was such a crappy defensive line, no shape, just a cluster of players with deeper line of Argentine players able to move the ball side to side. And it isn't like we haven't seen this Argentine side shoot from outside, England should feel aggrieved by the abuse they suffered for the first 45 minutes due to the officials but the last 35 minutes was self inflicted.

Brazil haven't reached a final since 2002. Only semi final appearance since was the 7-1 thrashing by Germany.

Argentina made it to the finals 3 out of last 4 editions. Massive carry job representing South American football.

Similar to his arrogant statements before RM games against PSG, Chelsea, City and Pool in 2022. He jinxed all of them like Realist. :D

Oh no. Another English player not sent off for talking trash under his paws.

Maybe the rule is only for South Americans.

Messi will win BDR if Argentina wins the World Cup. I got no issues with it. R9 won it due to 7 Word Cup games. Yamal or Rodri if Spain wins.

You are right but can we be sure about that since Tuchel introduced 3 defenders? What the f was that? I joked about modern Mourinho but this was next level shit.

From my observation he was their worst offensive player since they went down. He tried to get the ball a lot but he lost the ball in a really bad position once and started putting bad passes. But at the end he got an assist and that changes the perception.

2 most disliked teams but based on all of the matches, these are the 2 best teams.
You can argue that France are better than Argentina but the final might answer this question as well. Hopefully not.

By the time Argentina scored their first goal all subs England made were defenders (bunch of CBs). He made no tactical adjustment to the DePaul, Messi, Montiel overload. Tuchel flopped on a monumental level. To stop Argentina crossing he needed to cut out the source instead he ceded the wings and let the right side cross cross cross without any pressure. Every corner was short and no England player went to prevent the pass back to Messi over and over. I can't believe Tuchel was this bad. Absolute coward. Kane was defending headers in the box. I couldnt believe my eyes.

Messi played really well in the last 15-20 mins because England gave him all the space in the world to do as he pleased.

Why is Yamal still getting mentioned for balon dor. He has had an atrocious tournament. This year is going to have an underwhelming winner.

This team would have managed themselves better without that coward of a coach. Just a shit Southgate.

I think it's a combination of Tuchel's game management, as he has shown with Bayern against Madrid that he'll close the shop early, and the players simply being outclassed by the better opponent as the game went on. People have a tendency to overhype those British players, but in reality I don't see Declan Rice better than Enzo Fernandez, or any of their wingers better than Julian Alvarez or Lautaro Martinez. Argentina also has an X factor in Messi. They have been together for a long time playing a specific type of football and are thus well-drilled.

Of course he did because he’s a coward of a coach. He cost Bayern the game for doing the same thing vs Madrid.

From his squad selection for the World Cup to his substitutes, he’s been piss poor and a failed appointment.

I’d rather have given the job to Lee Carsley. Born and bread English coach who had the team playing great football.

Yeah, Bellingham's response to Tuchel "maybe he doesn't know" shows you all you need to know about atmosphere and the relationships in the team. I wonder if Mourinho puts him in his place.

The truth is he tried to wake people up after England barely made it through Mexico and Norway, but people wouldn't listen.

England looked good during the parts of the game where the game was awful. As soon as Argentina put the ball down and started playing Tuchel could either let them lose or have them survive again just like they did in the games before.

If you let your emotions out of it, the better team won.

Bunkered to save themselves against Mexico writing heroic tales of "the altitude".
