De Paul sub changed the game for Argentina. Simeone was horrible. It also allowed Messi to do his thing by hitting dangerous crosses himself.

Messi had an excellent 20 or so minutes. Marvelous to watch, players couldnt get near him. He would dribble into traffic and still come back out with the ball on his feet. The LB wasn't aggressive enough on him. Bet Cucurella deals with that side much better. His style would match Argentina's. England players were abit dead. Only Jude with some fire in him and the Argentinian players were ganging up on him.

 

It's pretty bad that Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark and even fcuking Greece have won a major international trophy in my life time but England hasn't.

Why are so many coaches scared to play actual football?

 

It’s weird to me that people are blaming Tuchel when every indication is that the players were the ones failing to push up and take the initiative. Tuchel isn’t the reason these guys were losing every 50/50 ball in stoppage time when they were down a goal.

in fact the only time in the entire half they were able to play actual football was right after the water break. Suggests that’s what the manager wanted and they briefly executed before reverting to chickenshit.
