Correction: Kroos was disastrous in that first half (defensively). Saved by Tibu and the defence. Cama might not be creative but he knows how to pass and move and isnt afraid to pass forward. He was poor this last season so he'll obviously need to step up. That play where Tcho ignored 4 attackers is typical Tcho. No wonder Dembele was livid. When a team defends as well as Spain you need to take full advantage of transitions. It was the story of our season.

There is a reason he and Barcola were alternating. None of them really impressed consistently. He waa quite poor against Morocco too and I thought he should've been subbed then he gave a good assist for the goal. He is good but not nearly as good as he is hyped up to be.

 

Cama tends to turn the ball over against quality high pressing teams. Kroos physical limitations has always been there. But he never gives the ball away.

Every coach had Camavinga as second choice because he still is raw as DM unless the strategy is to park the bus.

 

He isn't just slow on the ball and with his passing. He's very slow. More importantly I don't think he's that good of a tackler and not as aggressive as I think that position requires a player to be. He's a good intercepter and reads defensive plays very well though. I think the club can do better.

 

Perez has shown he doesn't care about the noise. Went and got Mourinho despite the racism storm. Rodri was heavily linked to us. Then the opposition went and name dropped him and the links died down rhe same morning with stories coming out that he wasn't needed. Rodri was flirting heavily with us before then.

A lot of revisionism from this dude Onrubia. No one talked about Tcho's qualities as #8 when he was signed from Monaco. He was starting DM for France and was signed to replace Casemiro while we still had Kroos and Modric as creative engines.

Tcho is a bit more press resistant than Casemiro while latter had an underrated ability to provide key assists in big CL games.

Yamal might win BDR if Spain wins the World Cup. Rodri didn't play much for Man City. Yamal won La Liga so lack of G/A at World Cup might not matter if his Spain wins the title. Fabian won CL with PSG but doesn't have the hype to win BDR.
