Switzerland are very difficult to play against. That's obvious in this WC and the previous 2 Euros where none of Spain, France, Itlay or England could beat them.

Both Argentina and Switzerland are mediocre teams. The Swiss have the physical advantage (taller, faster). In a fair tournament, yes, Switzerland has the tools to eliminate Argentina. However, physical or footballing prowess does not matter in this farcical scenario. The Argies have the whistle, the whistler, and the whisperer.

Argentina has pedigree, I agree. However, the appearance of guts and attitude come directly from knowing that the whistler is on their side. A few years ago, these players lacked guts and attitude, which only magically surfaced with the assurance that FIFA has written the script and the refs are going to execute it.
