The only technically gifted midfielder in a midfield full of donkeys but with the stamina of a grandma. He and Bergvall are by far the best midfielders in that team.
If his legs dont give way he can do some serious damage. Perhaps wont get on the scoreboard every game but for Sweden to advance they'll need Isak to provide that offensive spark. Gyokeres is an excellent goal scorer and running down the channels. Not much to write home about apart from that.
Great win for Sweden. Stared with 5 at the back and still ended up scoring 5 goals. They stuck to the basics, pressed high, kept it mostly tight at the back, very interesting to see how the next couple of games in this group unfold.

Reason is simple: Fan appeasement + jersey sales. Joao Pedro was done dirty. Sounds like Neymar and his entourage pulled out all the tricks too. It wasn't enough he earned millions while partying, making netflix specials, spending time on the injury list and generally being useless to all his teams since Barca. He also had to worm into a Brazil team that probably had dozens of players who should start before him. Dude is a straight parasite.
I doubt he was called to play but I am sure he'd be an uppgrade on all midfielders they have in that team. He would be a bigger help for Vini than all the other midfielders they have. But he is probably injured and wont play a single minute at the WC. At best he is just a mascot who can help instill some fight in them in his last WC. They have many players who are experiencing their first or second WC so they need some more experienced players in the dressingroom. It is also a typical Carlo diplomatic move. It is Igor that should have made way for Pedro. But it was probably Endrick who took Pedro's place in the end. They already have Endrick. Taking both Pedro and Igor wouldve meant less chance for playing time for Endrick. Neymar plays in another position than them so even if there is some miniscule chance he can play he wont be competing with Igor. He will probably take Henriques place and they will push Raphina to the wings.
Yeah, Klopp got very upset about it, not just because of the break itself, but because it's "sponsored by..." every time it happens. Football is going to get hit by a massive wave of commercialization, "your VAR review was sponsored by..., the third Real Madrid substitution was sponsored by...." these discussions are already happening as we speak with a big part of the business behind the sport seeing it as badly monetized and not "using it's full potential".

Not really, that's how it is in multiple countries now (Dazn across multiple countries, Sky Italia etc.) You also get games on Amazon Prime which means you get to hear about their newest movie or drama series every 20 minutes.

1. Those are different sports. When we did ELF football, we went into commercial break at every break too. 2. We go to timeouts and TV timeouts in Euroleague basketball just as much (plus the omnipotent "TV timeout"), and DAZN and Sky have advertisement DURING the game at football games, like, they shrink the screen and put ads on the bottom and the sides. Imagine you're paying pay tv for games and you watch your team score on 75% of the screen because we got gambling odds on the rest of it. Of course sports will go to commercials when play stops, but in europe a lot of broadcasters that ask for 50 bucks a month have on screen ads during games. I would say the UK has the most overall protection when it comes to this, Germany and Italy go crazy with the on screen stuff. How about an advertisement that covers the ENTIRE screen during games: Maybe you could communicate instead of being passive aggressive and we'd both learn something.
