Some players are really good at dropping for a penalty at the smallest of contacts. Very weak penalty call.
🗣️ Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “When I saw the play (Achraf Hakimi’s foul on Viní Jr.), my first reaction was simple: the referee should intervene and send him off. It’s not about reputation or the timing of the game, but about the player’s safety. So far this is the 1st team that really looked in over their head. They were playing Germany who have to be one of the more complete teams. This team is an island with less than 200,000 people. They somehow knocked out Jamica in qualification.
The referee was very bad in that game. Multiple challenges that should have had cards. You could argue the Hakimi challenge he gave and received was an orange card.

Good to see Takefusa Kubo in the Japan starting lineup. Too bad he didn't workout for Real Madrid, but he has been sensational for Real Sociedad and I always liked him.
I was very high on him when he was younger, same as I was with Havertz. Some players never break through that final barrier.
This looks like a very poor Netherlands. A lot of physicality and explosiveness but not nearly as much skill as prior Dutch teams. The Japanese are playing then well.
Does Messi speak in any of the commercials he's in? He's got to ge the most world renowned autist in sports history.
