Why do no other countries hike transport prices up during world cups? Because tourists for matches brings money in other ways, hotels, food, drinks, other tourist destinations etc. all of this will benefit the local economy. Yes I agree FIFA is a disgrace with the ticket pricing, but it's also a disgrace that fans are being asked to pay £100 for a 15 mins train ride or £200 for a parking spot, total greed

FIFA have clearly decided that the USA is so wealthy the profit they can make by price gouging will far out way everything else, even if it does limit wider interest. Infantino is also absolutely desperate to leech off the wealth of America so this isn't going to stop anytime soon. It's already engineered that the world cup will return to the US in 2038.
That is a bold prediction. I think FIFA officials—not limited to top officials—will commit white-collar crimes on U.S. soil and set themselves up for another round of mass arrests and extraditions under the next administration. At this point, their arrogance isn’t just a trait—it’s a business model for them, they can’t help it.
