Nagelsmann on the goalkeepers: "Yes, I'm planning with Manu as number 1. When it comes to goalkeepers, a coach's main task is really to take the three best goalkeepers. We decided that Alex, Oli, and Manu are the three best goalkeepers in the country. That's why we decided to… pic.twitter.com/XuRH1YBxZf— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) May 21, 2026
Yeah I want to know what Germanblade thinks of this. It seems like there are a few controversial decisions.
We've got three really strong African teams in this tournament for the first time in a while. Morocco, Senegal and Ivory Coast all look really good on paper.
Nah. South Africa, Tunisia and Cape Verde are all far weaker than Ghana on paper. Ghana will miss Kudus a lot though.
Imagine reading reports like this about yourself and then not getting picked the next day - 🇩🇪 Said El Mala will be included in the World Cup squad. Julian Nagelsmann has already informed him [@KSTA & @BILD] pic.twitter.com/VKCs66iJer— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) May 19, 2026
Yeah I would have had him in the squad, would have been a very usueful weapon to have against tiring defences in the heat.
From seeing what Germans are saying online X, there seems to be a trend of negativity in quite high number. I suspect they are more pissed than what we probably will be tomorrow.
I think a big difference is that we're well prepared for Tuchel's nonsense. He can't really surprise any of us at this point.
I’ve seen on Reddit it be said he’s the most disliked German manager ever and majorly will be happy if he is sacked after this Cup.
It's okay I guess, but could have been a lot better if Nagelsmann had the courage to drop his favourites who are there for their 'experience' (sounds familiar, doesn't it?) in favour of promising youngsters with a higher ceiling. The worst decision is probably Sané over El Mala. Goretzka is basically Nagelsmann's Henderson so no point in getting upset about it anymore as this one has been obvious for months now. The actually worrying thing about it is he's stated not too long ago he views him as a starter in midfield! But hey, he can really change his opinion in an instant so who knows (see his disgraceful Neuer decision which has bern discussed ad nauseam so I won't dive into it again). Bischoff despite his limited game time at Bayern would be a much better option than Goretzka though. Kimmich also one of the mozt overrated midfielders in this team, but he's by far the best German rightback. One of the few good things Nagelsmann has done is actually deploying him in his best decision. Can't understand why you'd select an average defender like Anton when you leave out one of the best defenders in Serie A (Inter's double- winning Bisseck). Also not sure about Beier. He's had a much better club season than Adeyemi obviously but this frontline is severly lacking some speed to bring off the bench as others have said hence including El Mala or Adeyemi would have been the logical step imo. Sané is speedy but mostly extremely ineffective for club and country.

Many people going to matches in Seattle will be staying in surrounding mini cities like Bellevue, Renton, and even 50 miles south in Tacoma or other surrounding suburbs and exurbs because of the cheaper expenses and accommodations, especially since public transportation tends to work very well during major events like NFL’s Seattle Seahawks games and now the FIFA World Cup.
