I don't think De Bruyne being back will help him execute passes or shots. He's not struggling for opportunities to do the right thing he's just making a complete mess of it when he tries.
He's had a mild hamstring issue that seems to be nearly healed (given he came off the bench today) but the chronic groin injury that's troubled him for the entirety of the season appears to be mostly in the rear view mirror. He said himself in an interview the other day that he's fine physically now but needs to remind his rhythm. You can see he's moving a lot more like his usual self and he has been doing for a few weeks, though he's still struggling for form.

https://www.goal.com/en/lists/cole-...organ-gibbs-white-england/blt4f7d46838ddafef1 I am not sure Tuchel will leave out Palmer for Gibbs-White. Meanwhile the 17 who have made Panini’s book have been revealed. PANINI'S ENGLAND 17 Goalkeeper: Pickford Defenders: Stones, Guehi, Konsa, Trent, Burn Midfielders: Henderson, Rice, Bellingham, Palmer, Rogers Forwards: Kane, Rashford, Watkins, Gordon, Foden, Saka Burn and Henderson but no Anderson or James.
He will do if Palmers form doesn’t improve. Tuchel isn’t that ignorant that he will just blindly pick out of form players over other players in form. I don’t think Palmer just gets a free ride these days because of what he did two years ago.

Eddie Howe has just seemingly ruled Livramento out of the World Cup. 🎙️ Eddie Howe. #NUFC Team news...Livramento is expected to miss the remaining fixtures...'Tino is doing well. A good summer very much sounds like a rest summer.
No it doesn't. That could equally be interpreted as a good World Cup performance-wise. Not even equally, I think it more likely means that.
It will be James and someone else, probably White on form you'd say. With 26 you could always bring Livramento to cover both full back roles.

Can White cover left back through. Tuchel seems to like the idea of having at least one who can comfortably do both sides.
They have a squad selector game on there where they say Tuchel will pick 26 and a prize draw will be held for those who get all 26 right. So he can’t opt for less then without invalidating that,
Updated list of confirmed dates for 2026 World Cup squad announcements:I will update this list as more nations confirm their squad announcement dates. pic.twitter.com/4MU8qc32ND— Passport Soccer (@passport_soccer) May 7, 2026 England about middle of the pack in terms of date of announcement. I still find it really tricky once you get past about 14 or 15. It's unusually tricky to guess which way he'll go
I'd be surprised if one of Livramento or Spence didn't go. I think Tuchel will want a defence-first LB option.
