I would be very surprised if Bowen goes and Madueke doesn't. I'm also not convinced that Tuchel is as dismissive of Spence as the supporters are. I actually think he's looked the best defensively of the LBs Tuchel has tried.
In the recent games , Rashford and Madueke were Englands only wide players who actually looked threatening
Levi Colwill to feature for Chelsea U21s tomorrow. Has been out all season. Rosenior quietly confident he'll play for first-team this season. #CFC— Dom Smith (@MrDomSmith) April 16, 2026
I agree. I am expecting Spence to go but for most fans to hate it as much as Henderson and/or Burn partly because of how bad Spurs have been,
It depends on how much playing time he sees Henderson having. I think he is open to Hendeorns having significant on pitch involvement.
I refuse to believe that Tuchel is that blinkered or playing football suicide to do that! All of us on here know what the outcome will be against any half decent midfield so surely he does.
If he really did take Henderson for a big on-pitch role and the tournament goes badly he'd essentially be digging his own grave. When you make ridiculous selections it's so much easier for everyone to put the blame on the manager when things go wrong. I do genuinely think he knows Henderson can't have a huge role on the pitch, which arguably makes it even more ridiculous if he goes.
I don’t think Tuchel is worried about how the press and fans see him. He has a contract now till 2028 and I bet he knows how expensive it be for the FA to have to sack him and how the FA have never been keen of sacking managers,
I'd be very surprised if we viewed Henderson as starting games, but I'd also be very surprised if Tuchel didn't use him to see out games seeing as he's consistently used him that way so far. Something about an experienced old head to give solidarity. Which I think will backfire horrendously if he tries it but Tuchel's regularly lost the midfield after making subs and shown little interest in doing things differently. Probably my biggest concern with Tuchel is outside of by fluke Anderson appearing to fix a lot of issues with his starting side, the rest of his central midfield make ups have consistently been really poor, and often baffling selections.
Elliot Anderson is unavailable for tonight’s fixture following the passing of his beloved mother, Helen.Everyone at Nottingham Forest Football Club extends its deepest condolences to Elliot and his family following this extremely sad news. Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies… pic.twitter.com/0FBB5lrPeC— Nottingham Forest (@NFFC) April 16, 2026 Very sad news as Elliot Anderson’s mum has died,
I don't think he is taking four 10s. Assuming Bellingham and Rogers are locks, then one of Palmer or Eze drops out. Madueke gets in over Bowen. I think Spence and Livramento potentially fighting over one spot given they can play both sides, but maybe they both go.
I don't think the depth is good enough to leave out both Palmer and Foden. Realistically, if we're chasing a goal in the final stretch of a knockout game, none of us are going to be uplifted by the sight of Bowen or Barnes warming up. Eze, Madueke, Rashford... more so. Ngumoha and Dowman are there, I guess, but they're kind of long shots.
When you say 'we' you are presumably just speaking for yourself? Don't think it particular clear who is going to start at LB personally.
Don’t it’s hard to see Hall starting at all. I think it will probably be O’Reilly, but He plays the position very differently, so I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if Tuchel went for a more orthodox LB.
I fundamentally disagree, I don’t think anything he did in the last camp will have much bearing at all.
I find it incredibly hard to pick the 26. That is even with not picking some of Tuchel’s weird favourites. You have 20 outfielders (Two for each outfield position). Then the three keepers. You think of all the things you can do with those final positions. An extra ten? An extra CB? A complete wildcard (Dowman type), pick a player with fitness struggles so you aren’t short in a position (Reece James) or pick a penalty specialist. You can’t waste those spots. They have to have some pitch playing meaning.
About Reece James, I think it makes sense to have the backup player to be a similar player. If Reece James is a injury risk, logically we would need a similar conventional right back, so Livramento. But Tuchel has played a CB there a few times, so maybe James is just one of those special players he breaks his own rules for.
If Livramento is ruled out he will replaced i suspect in the squad by White or Spence (If Spence wasnt down to go).
