Madueke is ********ing useless

 

Madueke is in acres of space but he looks totally incapable of doing anything with it.

 

Why are we putting loads of crosses into the box. Norways the biggest side at the world cup.

 

Madueke has zero football intelligence

 

Really happy with that start, hopefully we can keep the momentum up. It's exactly what better teams historically do to England when we play them at these later stages. Box us in and keep probing us. They've been resolute so far but this is exactly how we need to be playing in this kind of heat. It's been by far our best and most confident performance in possession too rather than the basketball match we sometimes fall too much into.

Madueke looks like a clueless fool!

 

Did not expect Norway to allow all of this possession to England.

Starting to finally get some ideas into breaking them down though.

 

It's all very slow

I'm not sure that having the ball 5 yards inside the Norwegian half whilst they are say in a 4-5 defence with about 10 yards between the two is the best idea

They clearly aren't bothered by Madueke considering how much they not marking him

 

He's clearly struggling with confidence. Even when he's got a 1v1 he'll still usually pass it back.

 

We need Saka later on in the second half.

 

I thought after watching the Brazil game Norway would have more of the ball.

 

You can tell he's not as relentless as he used to be. When he first came into the team he'd just repeatedly attack his full-back but he rarely does that anymore.

 

Wheres James Ward-Prowse when you need him...

 

Harry Kane is awful at free kicks, should never be taking them. He is genuinely terrible at them. A man of many talents but free kicks are very far from one.

 

I was expecting Rice to step up. A Kane FK goal is a rare thing.

 

Gordon is way too weak. Every 50/50 bodily contact sees him shrugged off the ball.

 

What on earth are we doing? Exactly the opposite of the first break and exactly the basketball game that plays into the oppositions hands.... Just completely lost our heads after the hydration break.
