I think Henderson will be criticised by the media more than you think. He attacked the media over the reaction to Ben White and many journalists hold long grudges.
Depending on how well Colwill comes through tonight’s game, I can see him being back in if it continues to go well. My centre backs pick then will probably be Guehi, Konsa, Colwill, Stones ( just think Tuchel will take him for experience to help the others ) and then a hybrid centre back/right back, maybe Quansah.
I think Stones is absolutely the right call, given his pedigree at international level. He is a senior leader in the camp, and when he is fit, of course, he is a Rolls Royce of a central defender. What goes against him is the fact he has not been playing, but I think he is a more than suitable inclusion for the final 26-man squad. Levi Colwill, if he comes through the last couple of games unscathed, would be a welcome addition as well, given he offers cover at left back and he is a truly left-footed central defender. Would take hiim over Quansah 8 days a week.
If we're looking to play on the front foot and get the ball to our frontmen as quickly as possible, then Collwill's slick, line-breaking passes are going to be a godsend. He's looked like a Rolls Royce in his two games so far. And providing he's fully over his injury, l can see him being a fixture in our backline come the end of the tournament.
Good news for Bowen and Palmer? 🤔 https://t.co/M6NDls87mk pic.twitter.com/zOCRvmojpL— The England Pod (@England_Pod) May 19, 2026
tournament football is largely about consistency. i don't see much rotation from TT, especially across the back four and even more so with our CB pair.
That was a delicious 30-yarder from Enzo Fernandez, but also worth appreciating Cole Palmer's work in the build-up. Tonight is Palmer's last chance to impress Thomas Tuchel before the England announcement on Friday, and he's looked up for this so far— Kieran Gill (@kierangill_DM) May 19, 2026
I don't think we have too much to worry about from Ghana. Semenyo looks completely ineffective and this is with him playing with world-class players. Kudus is hopefully out
Hopefully arsenal win the title tonight and the likes of City arsenal Chelsea etc rest players for the final game
If Chelsea hold on and win today they could still get Europe so it be full strength on Sunday I would imagine. If Man City don’t win and the tills is over rotation means Trafford and Stones might start.
I thought that Haaland's reaction to his late goal was weird, didn't celebrate at all and didn't look desperate to score another. Almost like he was resigned to losing. You can't help but wonder if Pep leaving is going to cause somesort of meltdown there. Surely the FA are going to have to rule on all the charges soon as well.

@thebigman, think it should be in this thread What is everyone's likely starting 11 this world cup? Could we see tuchel revert to a 3 at the back or push towards a 4231? .this is the first tournament in a while I have no clue who will be the starting 11 I personally don’t think it will start with a back three, think it will 4231 but I agree, think it’s the most unpredictable starting 11 I can remember going into a tournament. This is who I think will start for Tuchel: Pickford James Guehi Konsa O’Reilly Anderson Rice Bellingham Gordan Kane Saka. Not sure about left back though but think O’Reilly is the only certainty to go, could literally be a toss up with Livramento, Hall, Spence and MLS. Also not 100% sure it will be Bellingham starting, possible Tuchel will start with Rogers even though I wouldn’t. If the others are fit then I think it’s pretty close.
