Doesn’t really matter what Nationality you are when you take the England job, English, German, Swedish whatever. For some reason as soon as you get this job it follows making baffling decisions!

Let’s be honest, it was always going to be a be gamble to pick Livramento considering his recent injury record. Tuchel really should have had sufficient cover for this reality but adding another centre back/ hybrid player who doesn’t offer anything going forward is just crackers at this stage. We are screwed if we get injuries in certain positions.

So yeah, that's the guy thinking there has to be a conspiracy theory behind younger players saying they respect an older teammate. No one came out and said similar things about his leadership that's for sure.

in my opinion, the most overrated English player of all time

that class of players underperformed so badly and let their country down multiple times. How they can speak out when they were so shit

Terry, scholes, Rio, Campbell all seem like bitter ex pros who are angry they aren’t getting huge coaching jobs thrown at their feet

I’m so glad we have a better mentality, Southgate really did a lot of things right and was so close to winning something with us. The squad harmony is a huge positive form his tenure, even if I do think he wasn’t an especially great manager tactically

 

Terry was absolutely world class. He was one of the best defenders of his generation

 

I think he was bang average, which was why he wasn’t good for England

Chelsea had the best defenders and defensive midfielders around him at the time, you can see how good Carvalho was at sweeping up mess and was vastly superior in my opinion

Sol Campbell and Rio was a much better pairing

This has completely spoiled my mood in the build-up to the Croatia game.
6 CB's
2 RB's (with one always injured)
1 LB (who's not even a real left back)
And only 3 CM's who can actually function as a starting CM for England

You really have to wonder what the rest of Tuchel's coaching team are saying to him? Are they being honest and questioning how thick these selections are? Or are they just being a pack of yes men and telling him whatever he wants to hear..

Im never relaxed and just can’t relax knowing the makeup of the squad is crackers!! If Anderson picks up an injury, we’re basically screwed now as whatever option he picks will make us considerably weaker.

 

Feel the same. Tuchel has RUINED my anticipation for this world cup. He needs binning after this tournament

 

I really hope we all eat a big slice of humble pie and Tuchel really knows what he’s doing and has some master plan but I just can’t see it especially if we get a key injuries where the cover is just a hybrid player isn’t going to be good enough at this level. Too many jack of all trades master of none type players for my liking and just feel that won’t be good enough playing against teams with many specialist players.

 

I wouldn't be that bothered about losing Livramento if we had brought in a proper replacement. I feel offering tuchel that new contract has made him complacent

 

I’m more nervous about the Ghana match. I have a good feeling about tommrow but for next week I don’t,
