Japan plays with high energy and stamina and an intense press. It's the blueprint to beat a team like Spain. Those Japanese players put in a crazy amount of workrate.

Morocco gave Spain problems at World Cup 2018 and this Moroccan team is even better now. I can see this going to penalties.

Germany.....Well.....Portugal & Spain send you our regards since we both do not like you. Goodbye.

I am starting to get worried that we will make a lot of changes, we will be horribly disjointed playing against a South Korea side who IMO wasn't inferior to Ghana and Uruguay on both matches, they were unlucky, remembered me Morocco in our group in 2018, those who watched them playing in our group know it's a joke they only took 1 point.

If we lose 2:0 and Ghana beats Uruguay 1:0 we are going to face Brazil losing one day of rest, if that happens I will be horribly pissed of with Santos, we must demand the first place, sick and tired of scrapping around tournaments.

Considering we tend to play to the level of our apponents , I have to agree with you

I understand the history (some extremely recent) with other top teams Portugal may have to go through in the knockouts, but it's always funny seeing fans being all doom and gloom about the prospect of facing a team (in this case Spain) as if we didn't literally just watch them lose to a team none of us would fear in the knockouts (Japan) while barely even threatening to score over the final 80 minutes.

If Portugal win the group and get Serbia/Switzerland in the R16, I don't care who comes after that, it's a friendly enough draw for me – you can't expect a lucky draw presenting a weak opponent in the final eight of the World Cup.

Unless you are England. They have horseshoes up their butts almost every time... and they still lose :)
In my opinion, Portugal can beat any team on their day. I just wish they started Leao and saved Ronaldo for the last 25 minutes or so. Change it up a bit

Yeah, the biggest benefit of Ronaldo playing is to his ego. He and the team would be better off with him playing the R16 on 7 days rest instead of 3.

Uruguay is going to absolutely HATE us for years to come.

We denied Suarez and Cavani their last run.

It just goes on to show, if you knock us out of a World Cup - we will get our revenge. Unless you are South Korea.

What's with them all of a sudden, like rules don't apply to us Uruguayans? They're the dirtiest team I've ever seen.

Absolutely. Ronaldo has tired legs… he can be used as a super sub. It’s crazy how our coach doesn’t see that as a positive.

Subs this tourney have made a huge difference. They’ve scored majority of goals.

Swiss tie 2-2. Both defenses look shaky. If we can't beat these teams, fire Santos.

I agree. Both of those teams are a tactical mess.

Santos subbed off Ronaldo when we needed him today. Santos' patience might be wearing thin.

Wishful thinking I know but let's hope.
