This makes me nervous, statistically there's gotta be at least 1 upset and it's either gonna be us or Spain, or both lol

Brazil overpowering them… they deflated them after the 2nd goal.

Can Portugal do the same? Go in hard.

    Btw: Bentos face… lol!

We should not have lost. I know we were resting players but that is no excuse, we still were able to field a solid team and lost to that team. It's embarrassing.

Uruguay-Brazil would have been a great game.

It's not about finishing. It's about scoring goals and at the moment we lack someone who can do that at the top. A Silva is not our answer to win a world cup. As you said he does not score. I agree I too would like more of Ramos, but he is too unproven at this time and at this level so he is not going to get many minutes.

Plus no one is better than Ronaldo at taking penalties unfortunately if it comes to that at the end of a game he won't be in there to take one

We need somehow for Ronaldo to catch some final stretch of luck and score if we hope to go far.

If there's a team that knows how to have fun it's the brazilians, even the coach went in on the celebration.

Is our coach physically capable of smiling?

Today shows me we have absolutely zero chance. We struggled against weak asians, meanwhile Brazil just bitch slapped them.

    we suck

i don't think that's it, the fact is we lack creativity. i think ronaldo still has the ability to finish but we lack creativity and link up play, everything we do is obvious and simple, that's the issue. that and pace. we have zero pace the fact felix is our fastest starter lets you know how slow we really are.

what we lack is a midfield. There is no cohesive midfield team. No long spells of possession, no short interplay, no midfield domination. Just constant low percentage through ball attempts. If we are lucky hopefully these will come off clutch in these knockout games, but long term it's a shit way of playing since we establish no dominance of possession.

considering who the coach is, it's probaly our best chance of winning since I do not believe for a second he can coach the opposite of what I described above

Basically what you're saying is we only have chances of winning matches if some of our players have a moment of individual inspiration...

We've never had a strong midfield that dominated posession . The way we typically win is by counter attacks, off of free kicks or penalties. Even the goal against S. Korea was a counter attack that came from a long pass from Dalot.

When Ronaldo is on the field all we do is endless crosses. 75% of the time we hope Ronaldo will find his spot, the rest someone else randomly picked. Those long crosses to him in 2013/14 were heart stopping but now?

When he's off we try link up play but everyone is so used to crosses that's all that they know. Everyone sees it coming.

Bruno hit the post twice late against. Uruguay. It should have been 3-0. We had them on the ropes. Do that, whatever it was.

    Can't wait for tomorrow.

Those assessing Portugal's chances based on the Brazil-Korea game forgot that the same Brasil lost 0-1 to mighty cameroon a few days ago...

English media are talking crap about the Brazilians dancing.

    Calling it 'disrespectful'

How can you not want to dance to their goal song? It's no wonder the Brazilians can't stop scoring goals, this song plays in the stadium and then they dance...
