I remember before this whole circus started back in May that Sampaoli needs to become a Sabellista. Never mind. Perhaps and we can only hope he will learn. Otherwise he is a fool. A stubborn fool.

I wish we could play icardi and Aguero upfront. What a deadly combo that would be. Dybala can be behind them and a strong midfield of Lamela, Paredes, lo celso behind

As others have said Sampaoli has to bring on the new players and change his idiotic tactics. Do that and we have an excellent chance again in 2022 but we need to find some laterals of quality and where are the keepers of the top level ?

Will Rulli recover from his errors ? Werner does he want to play or just pick up his cheque. Rossi can he be the one after arriving at Boca as a stop gap and taking over ? That is an area of concern.

Congratulations to France, a thoroughly deserved win, great performance and what a player Mbape is. Well done to Argentina as well, we were thoroughly outclassed but fought to the end. Now the rebuilding can begin.

If someone would have told me before the game that both Aguero and Di Maria would score, and that Messi would have 2 assists, I would have been elated.

Really need to fix our goalie situation, our defenders. Really need to take a hard look at developing these positions.

Even with Icardi-Dybala, we are not going anywhere with our defense and goalies as they stand.

Fazio, Otamendi, Rojo, Mercado — this is awful.

We will score 3...we will just concede 3, 4, 6, etc.

I am hearing this is the first time where we have scored 3 times and still lost.

I would say well done to Sampaoli for handing that on a plate to France. Another match thrown away despite the mess we are in by shambolic decisions.

Maybe you guys don’t realize this but Messi struggled under Sampaoli more than any other coach in his career. That includes Bauza and Maradona!!!

If you can’t win with the GOAT on ur team then I just don’t think you can or should coach.

This Argentinian team needs Simeone more than ever imo. We need a coach who is defensive minded and I believe that he is the right choice. The only question is, when will he take over?

Well Sampaoli is sticking around as far as we know until 2022. Simeone wants to manage Internazionale at some point. Might be 2030 or later. We do have some excellent young managers here as well. Rolan, Coudet and Heinze.

Mate, Sampaoli is done. AFA will fire him sooner rather than later. They cant surely be happy with his lack of tactical awareness. He didnt even know whats the best formation or best players were. A coach like that wont stick around for much longer. We shall see tho.

You have to realize that he is employed by the AFA via contract, which states that if Samp is fired he will get the remainder of his 20 million dollar contract. The cold hard reality is the AFA does not have 20 million dollars to buy this guy out. It's that simple.

They could make an agreement or renegotiate but from what I’ve heard, they will talk to him first, analyze what happened and whats to come, and then make a decision about his status.

I think it's a pretty obvious penalty. Rojo did initially make contact outside of the box, but the player (though he was stumbling) still had a chance at the ball, so you play the advantage there. Once he gets into the box, Rojo makes contact again. That's a foul and a clear penalty.
