OMFG! Its hideous. For some reason it reminds me of that lamp in the shape of the woman's leg from "The Christmas Story", but its even worse as it very clearly reflects an ethnic/racial stereotype. Can anyone imagine the uproar if the poster for Japan/Korea consisted of two Asian-looking heads? The only redeeming thing about it is the throwback look to the 50's WC posters.

Anyway, someone needs to tell Blatter that Africa is not a country. "Portraying a country in the shape of a man heading a ball is a new idea with potent symbolism". A genius at work.

I rather like the poster, as well as the emblem. The people of South Africa voted on three posters, and chose this one. I think they made a great choice.

I would have to agree. It is a great triumph of a continent overcoming appartheid.

I think its beautiful in the way it resembles the African continent, people, and their attraction to futbol, as well as their love.

The people made a great choice. I cant wait to buy the poster!
