I hope during the investingation into CBF, they discover what $$$ was floating around to keep Alves in the starting lineup for nearly 4 years. That can be the only explanation for such a thing to happen. And I'll make sure to sue for damages
NM ... you found a way ! You will love this article ! http://www.espnfc.us/club/barcelona/83/blog/post/2467223/dani-alves-worth-his-weight-in-gold "The question is, how can you replace Alves? To describe him as just a right-back seems unbelievably reductive to anyone even slightly familiar with his body of work. He is a flying winger, a midfield runner, a playmaker and even (now and then) a defender all rolled into one. Even at 32, he is at the centre of everything the Blaugrana do. He consistently has more touches of the ball than any of his teammates, including Lionel Messi. His omnipresence is such that it's always a shock to look back at the numbers and see a relatively low number of goals and assists. He directly provided six goals and scored none during the triumphant La Liga campaign."
I agree, but given the amount of time he has spent on this particular matter, it's not surprising....
I saw that article and I already gave the author an earful. It's people like this who vote Alves in on the FIFA Team of the Year after a clear decline and better options.
I'm hoping the result is the USA gets the World Cup in 2022.. Maybe even the Russian one if things really hit the fan.
I'd like that too. But my problems with Qatar is not the bribery itself. It's the problem with the workers, weather, and moving the WC to the winter. Bribery is the status quo, not the exception.
Yea I'm not offended by the bribery at all and yea the weather and working conditions really bother me. Idk about you guys but if we saw a wc in winter don't you think we would see the players at their best? I just feel like by the time we get to The wc in summer everyone is already tired and beat up. These players run so much more per game than players did in the past.
It's possible, but I can't imagine the clubs being too happy about it. A whole season's worth of planning could go straight out the window. If some players were accused last year of mailing it in towards the end of the European season, it won't be much better when that happens at the start of the season knowing well that their is still another half of the season to be played after the WC. 2022 is going to be a mess.

Agora que ja' ta tudo cagado fica facil ganhar suporte. Todo politico vai querer fazer um boquinha com essa historia.
It's going to be great when these guys start pointing fingers to the rest of FIFA. Right this is limited to CONCACAF and CONMEBOL. Just not sure if the DoJ has an interest in going that deep.
Yep. Right now it's only related to television rights for Libertadores, Gold Cup, WCQ in CONCACAF and CONMEBOL, Copa America, Copa do Brasil (basically all involving Traffic as I understand it) and also FIFA elections of 2011 and WC 2010 host selection. Oh yeah ... and Nike's relationship with Brazil. So everybody speculating about Russia and Qatar need to wait because that doesn't seem to be within the scope of this process at the moment.
Yes you are right people are more or less aimlessly hoping that these people in custody flip. On ESPN fc they said the Swiss are conducting their own investigation and asked to speak with more than 10 leaders of federations, so maybe that is closer to what everyone wants.
