This game is scheduled to hit stores on Tuesday, 9/25/12. No release date has been revealed yet for its demo, but it should be a few weeks before the game itself. Which team(s) are you planning to play as in this game? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
The demo is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/11/12. Some details about the demo include: GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
"Wondo featured on downloadable FIFA 2013 cover" (SJEarthquakes.com - Tuesday, 9/25/12) (EA Sports) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Did you print it out? If so, what paper size did you use? I did the 640 medium but when I print it out, its a full size pic.
I bought FIFA 13 on the way home from coaching my U12 Girls team, had a bite to eat then fired up the game on the XBOX 360 for a quick game, Crew vs. Quakes, to see how the game played. The Quakes beat me 1-0, in the 89th minute on an Alan Gordon header after subbing in the 75th minute. Just wanted to tell you how realistic this game is this year!
I printed it out as is and, as it did with you, it printed a full size pic. Once the PS3 version of the cover is available, I'll try it again after resizing it in Photoshop. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I also had just enough time today for one game. I randomly picked a team from the Rest of the World section (the Orlando Pirates) to visit the San Jose Earthquakes. The Quakes won 2-1. I'm really liking the game so far, not the least of which is because of the new physics engine EA has put into its latest crop of sports games this year (FIFA Soccer 13, Madden NFL 13, NHL 13, likely into the upcoming NBA Live 13, etc.) which has the players and the ball moving more realistically, not to mention that the other players seem better at getting into plays on their own. A word of warning, though: even after updating the rosters through Customise FIFA ---> Edit Teams ---> Change Squads/Rosters --->Download Updates, don't forget to then enter Team Management (from that same menu) and correct your team's starting lineup, formation, player roles, etc. For example, the game has Chris Wondolowski sitting on the bench and Marvin Chávez on the reserves. All in all, I can't wait to play the game again soon. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I just discovered that after Download Updates, selecting Reset All Squads (from the same menu) will correct most of the discrepancies, though you may still want to go into Team Management and clean things up a bit if necessary. I hope that helped. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
EA seems to have since gotten its act together (for the most part) and the Reset All Squads step doesn't seem to be necessary anymore. In any case, another impressive aspect about this version of the series which may or may not have been included in last year's version (but certainly wasn't in previous versions) is that it's still updating rosters periodically this many months after the game's release, even for MLS teams. I know Bostock is only training with the 'Quakes right now but has anybody tried transferring him from Tottenham or Swindon Town (I don't even know if that team is in FIFA 13) to the 'Quakes?
That's a good question. I'll try to find out as soon as I can (though let us know if you find out as well ). GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
If anybody is looking for Chants to use in FIFA 13 I found a cool site with all MLS teams including San Jose http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-175533.html here is the direct link to the Earthquakes rar file http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?xg8zbvfjx858w84
They are MP3 files so it should work. I have done it before with FIFA 11 and 12 on XBOX with other sound files. I am going to try them in a bit, I'll let you know
I haven't tried it for the PS3 but here are some instructions I found http://fifasoccerblog.com/blog/custom-audio/ they are for FIFA 11 but I would think they would still apply for FIFA 13
Yeah, they work and there are a bunch to choose from. Here is another site that has chants for all of MLS http://fanchants.com/search/mls_/
And the rosters are still being updated, with the San Jose Earthquakes now having Adam Jahn, Mike Fucito, Walter Martínez, etc. And it goes even further: when starting a game via Kick Off, the announcer announces the teams as they're coming onto the field and mentions how their real-life counterparts are doing. All throughout most of the 2012 MLS season, the announcer mentioned how the Earthquakes were at the "top of the table" as the real-life team indeed was. Now the announcer instead mentions how disappointing the Quakes' results have been thus far. EA really has been paying attention! ... GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
