No OFC teams had points changes, but there were ranking changes. Cook Islands fell from 190th to unranked because they haven't played in four years. Under the old ranking formula, teams could have 0 points, and there was no difference between a team with 0 points from 10 games played within four years and a team who didn't play within four years. Now that points don't expire, inactive teams need to be removed. Here are the ten ranked OFC teams in the September 2019 FIFA Rankings: 122. New Zealand (down 5) 141. Solomon Islands (up 1) 154. The FIFA Rankings now include each team's results since the last rankings. Since no OFC teams played teams from other confederations, I expected the sum of OFC's points to be the same as in June, but it went up by 66.89. I looked up why, and the FIFA Rankings never make teams lose points from knockout rounds of a tournament so that a team's points cannot be fewer than if they had not advanced from the group stage. For most games, there is a zero-sum change in points in FIFA and ELO, but ELO does not have any additional rules for knockout rounds. The eleven OFC teams have an average rank of 163.7. The 210 ranked teams have an average rank of 105.5.
