Most of the them are jokes, just a bunch of hot air.

It will be the private sector not local government nor FIFA/Local organizing committee (LOC) coming up with solutions.

In Johannesburg, it will be the big shopping malls and casino complexes that will offer a great fan experience as they each have dozens of restaurants looking for business.

I doubt there will be price gouging by those restaurants. They will be only too glad to be full throughout the tournament rather than the 1 or 2 days a week that they are getting decent business in our recession.

If Grand West Casino, on the eastern side of Cape Town, organizes busses to the stadium, that will be a fabulous park and ride, eat and drink location for fans.

Cape Town should have a good implementation of the Grand Parade as it will be the most practical way to get the bulk of fans to/from the stadium and the V and A Waterfront and the CBD with highly developed infrastructure.

Port Elizabeth should work, too, if they can get their new bus system working. It will be too far for fans to walk otherwise between the sites.

Once again, a reminder that it will be winter in South Africa. Why do these look like plans for a non winter tournament?
