I'd be pretty surprised (and very disappointed) if Tottenham didn't release LWB for the tournament, I think his only likely first team involvement is the league cup, but don't see that now after drawing Newcastle away, and that's 5 days before Englands first game.

Not sure it’s injury either. Played the full game Sunday with 2 more goals and an assist

Lucas Daka (Reading) & Kachinga Siame (Villa) have been named in Zambia's provisional squad.

Daka is an '09, attended an U15 camp with us a couple of years ago. Siame is a club U15 so '09 or '10.

Page and Rodriguez played for the U20s today, rather than the U18s yesterday, for whatever reason

I guess you have to presume their Clubs don’t want them going to the World Cup? I gonna presume we’re going to take a second string squad to the World Cup aren’t we?

From the first game. It is a brief and individual focused clip but the play looks more structured than what happened at the U17 Euros.

I can’t find the regulations for this upcoming 2025 World Cup. Considering it is a longer format tournament does that mean the squads will be bigger?

It is normally 21 players with three having to be keepers. Having only 18 outfield options for potentially nine games in three and a half weeks seems a bit tough?

I’ve got no idea who Ryan is going to pick in quite a few roles. We don’t seem to have many settled roles.

    It’s 21 players according to this https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/5c308779ec05eb77/original/FU17WC25-regulations_EN-1.pdf

Any ideas when this squad will be named, as seen several counties have already announced their final player list?

They seem to be showing a bit more interest in this now so hopefully soon, last time out think we had to wait for it to be on the FIFA website

Clearly he seems a really good player but he’s a big kid for his age. Physically he should be in a good place to transition to senior football you would think.

As I recall, Reggie Walsh didn't go to the UEFA U17 competition earlier this year as he was playing for Chelsea against Djurgården in the Conference semi-finals. And Bendito Mantato was selected but withdrew. We'll see if they get tournament experience this time.

Is Finlay Gorman also injured? He wasn't named in most recent squad either.

There was a penalty shootout after that match which France won 5-4.

Wonder if Colombia are interested in him. Another goalkeeper from London, Alexéi Rojas, earned a Bronze medal with them at U20 World Cup yesterday.

A lad I know who watches Tottenham academy teams reckons Byfield rather than Hardy/Upson is the central defender to get excited about. Byfield was on the bench against Villa today.

Dowman, Ngumoha, Mfuni and Monga have been promoted to U19 side so doubt they're going. Guess the likes of Louis Page, Williams-Barnett and Howell are uncertain.

Don't remember many players missing this tournament before. Ryan Sessegnon was already playing for Fulham (and England U19) so didn't attend 2017 and Borussia Dortmund only let Sancho play group stage that year. Were there any others?

No that was it. I guess more players are playing senior games than that group.

He hasn’t featured for City in a fair while so I believe so, he’s had a few injury issues in the past few years unfortunately.

Could be wrong but I recall seeing Gorman watching a game from the sidelines while wearing a protective boot the other week.
