So I've been playing as Nottingham Forest in career mode (on the PC), won the league cup and also got promoted to the premiership, bought several players with my new money (Owen Hargreaves, Joe Cole, Fernando Torres, Julien Escude, Scott Parker) and got off to a good start in the new 2004-05 premiership season. Then Joe Cole was injured, and it listed his return date as August 17th, 2003- yes, two thousand and THREE, even though he was injured in 2004. It's now September 2004 and he's still injured, so it looks pretty clear it's a bug and he isn't coming back. Anyone else experienced anything like this, and know any way to fix it? I tried turning off injuries, but it doesn't heal already injured players. I don't want to start all over in Division 1 again. If I play through this premiership season, will Joe Cole's injury be erased for next season? I'd hate to have wasted 3 million pounds.
Yeah... I have noticed this also, but the player will return. I have had several get injured, and they all returned. "Severe" took quite awhile, though.
yeah, the injury return dates are almost always in the past, but the players will return after the appropriate amount of time has passed. As fare as I can tell: minor injury = 1-2 weeks major injury = 3-6 weeks severe injury = don't know. I've never had one, but I guess it will be awhile.
