Do PS2 games cost more in the UK then in the USA? That sight said the original price was 44pounds, while I have it reserved at a local store for $49. Obviously this doesn't fit the current exchange rate. Just curious.
so it's safe to say that if you buy a ps2 game in the UK and bring it over to the states, it won't work?
Yeah, it's the same as it is with DVDs (unless you have a universal player). I'm not sure if there's a mod chip or something you can solder on the back of your PS2 that can make it work, but I wouldn't recommend doing that as it not only voids the warranty, but can, in some cases, totally blow out the system. I know the XBox (which I have) flat out stops working if you try to modify it.
Thanks. I was thinking about buying the new club football game while over there on the arseam trip in December, but looks as if it's too much trouble.
Play.com won't ship to the US anyway. I was looking to buy some R2 DVDs from them today and discovered this while searching the site.
Yeah. Winning Eleven 6 is excellent. There's been an ongoing thread about it in the games forum. FIFA 2003 sucked - worst $50 I ever spent. WE6 is the way to go.
