I don't see them winning without Birgit either, or Silke Rottenberg, so by that reasoning, shouldn't they be top 3 and screw anyone else.

I only disclude Maren, as much as I like her as a player, because she was not there during the qualifiers.

Uh, just a reminder - Germany's WC qualifiers were in 2001 and 2002, this is the 2003 award we're debating.

Maren retired from the German Nats in 2001 I believe, which means she wasn't with the team duing quals.
