Is there anybody who has mastered the Fresstyle Controls that come on XBOX, PS2, and maybe PSONE. If someone knows them really well could you diagram them and if you have any other tips and hints for the game feel free to post them.

It's different with different players, and I haven't played in a while so I don't really remember for sure. I know Zidane is great at splitting defenders with his, even on World Class mode.

Rivaldo does this funky little side step two step cross over thing. Not sure what he's doing, but he always gets dispossesed.

When an opponent is running at a bit of an angle towards you hit the freestyle control back and then forward the way you want to go. I've got Ronaldo and Roy Keane to do some weird foot jives and stuff with this. Just hit the controls sometimes.

I know there are a lot of combos you can do with the freestyle control, they're just too hard to do. I've gotten Zidane to weave in and out of 4 defenders with some bad ass foot moves, but I have no idea how I did it.

I have gamecube and the following moves I've pulled off

Zidane- Maradona, push right then left on the freestyle control
Del Piero- push down on freestyle control.

Everybody will do a step over if you press the stick to the right

I don't know what the move is called but Owen does it. When a defender sticks out their foot to try and swipe the ball, push back on the controller. Instead of those stupid looking ballerina stepovers a lot of people do he does this really slick looking move where he rolls his foot over the ball one way and then pops it back the other and keeps running.

Wow I didnt know that the control actually did different moves, I thought it just speed bursts ahead. Although sometimes Veron and Davids did do a spin move when I pushed forwards once...

    thanks

of all the players i played with so far van Nistelrooy has by far the most effective move , its almost too easy to fly by somebody with him

somebody mentioned it earlier, rivaldo's move stinks, i second the notion

Anyone know if there's any documentation out there on this? I've been having a hard time figuring it out. I've gotten Davids to do some funky things but thats about it.

I like the fact that the moves don't always work as in real life. Makes the game much more interesting that way. I've been on other sites and seen people cry saying it sucked just because they didn't necessarily work every time......idiots. :)

Is it the same move that does something different for each player? Example: hitting left right makes Davids do one thing, but that same move doesn't work for Zidane. For Zidane hitting up down does something else. Or do the all have the same control (Left/Right, or Up/Down) but each player has a different move?

Players have different moves. For instance I'm playing a season with Real and Zidane, Figo, and Ronaldo all do different moves.
