This Saturday Fleet Feet are holding a 10 mile race at Solider Field with the finish on the (to quote them) 50 yard line. Hope all those runners will not chew up the field before the Fire game that night. Really surpised the Park District gave the go ahead but then again it is not Bears season. Then as it is not Bears season wouldn't the race finish at the half way line not the 50 yeard line !! PS Anyone doing the 10 miler then going to the Fire game ?

i rather doubt a bunch of people in running shoes are going to do too much damage to the field

I doubt it too (having once been a runner) but they do have 2400 limit for the race and are nearing that per www.chicagoaa.com. Let's hope the grass gets covered.
