Not soon enough. With Orlando and the Cocoa area already within the league, Daytona would be a perfect addition to the league. Hopefully some day in the future will see the Daytona area involved in the FESL.

The House of Hooligans will also be writing the FESL Insider, I'll be giving them a lot of info through the coming months. The Insider should have it's first edition up on Monday or Tuesday. For now check out the link below for the Sunshine Soccer Report.

I'll admit there's too many blogs within the internet world but there's none that provide any true information on the Florida soccer scene. Hopefully a few of you will become an avid reader.

    Jacksonville gets FESL expansion team.....

The 2009 FESL season will see the city of Jacksonville come into play on a regular basis. The newest members to the Florida Elite Soccer League, L.I.P.F.C. (Lynch's Irish Pub Football Club) of Jacksonville will be taking on the FESL in 2009.

Known not only thoughout the state of Florida but across the country thanks in part to their numerous successful runs within the US Open Cup. Formerly known as DS United, Jacksonville L.I.P.F.C. has been playing top flight soccer for over 15 years and has managed to grab themselves numerous state and regional titles. Already looking to be one of the odds on favorite to lift the FESL Cup in August, L.I.P.F.C. will also be looking to take on the US Open Cup for what could potentially be another deep run in the Open Cup.

The newest members of the FESL will be calling Patton Park Stadium as their home ground for the 2009 season. Patton Park is located just east of downtown Jacksonville and boasts a seating capacity of over 2,500 and is the most modern soccer facility within Duval County.

Wait untill January as there just might be a large amount of teams joining this season. Players might be changing their tryout options once they see a new team pop up.. so to keep things easily trackable for coaches and owners, we'll be posting tryout registration in January when most of our new club teams will be announced.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I hope you'll be on a FESL pitch this summer.
