Nice to see some support for the Jacksonville soccer scene.

Keep your eyes open for some up and coming news in the next week or so on Lynch's F.C. of Jacksonville.

    FESL & Marriott Hotels/Resorts Join Forces :

Marriott Hotels & Resorts will be joining forces for the up and coming 2009 season by offering it's supporters and club teams the chance to stay with the kings of hospitality.

This exsclusive partnership will see the FESL offer it's supporters and club teams the chance to stay with the world famous leaders of hospitality in any FESL city. From the luxurious West Palm Beach Marriott to the elegant Spring Hill Suites in Port St. Lucie, the FESL and Marriott will be putting out the red carpet for it's supporters and players.

FESL Commissoner Andre' Ruette also announced a few extra perks were about to hit the FESL thanks in part to their newest sponsor, Marriott. "The league is working on putting the final touches on our supporter package for the 2009 season. Ultimately this package will give the supporter not only a chance for them to stay with the world reknown Marriott but also a chance for them to get their hands on v.i.p. styled tickets to any FESL match. The match tickets will not only enable them to see one match but all matches within the FESL, no matter the date or city. We wanted to thank our supporters by giving them the first class treatment that they deserve and thanks inpart to Marriott and our wondeful club owners we know that everyone will truly be getting the red carpet treatment.Last year the league announced it's supporters first campaign and with this latest revelation, we feel we're right on track in keeping with our promise to our supporters."

More information about the FESL and Marriott partnership will announced in the coming weeks.

Jacksonville FC announce it's first three FESL signing's :

Lynch's of Jacksonville FC recently signed three of it's veteran players for it's 2009 FESL squad.

Tommy Krizanovic, the Croatian striker and former member of the University of Jacksonville, Tommy was also drafted by FC Dallas in 2007 in the 4th round. Tommy's knack for finding the net also earned him the Atlantic Sun Conference player of the year award in 2006.

Tony Alejandro, comes to the Lynch's FC after completing a success run with the Central Florida Kraze of the USL 3rd Division. Alejandro's play on the field earned him player of the week honors in the PDL thanks in part to his 5 goals in two matches for the Kraze. Tony will be paired up top at the striker position with Krizanovic to form what could be the deadliest one-two punch in the FESL.

Mark Rowland, the midfielding veteran will be playing in the middle of the park for Jacksonville FC. Rowland's soccer resume is an impressive one thanks in part to his successful runs in the US Open Cup with both the El Paso Patriots of the USL and also the DFW Tornados and Dallas Roma FC. Additionally, Mark has also plyed his trade in the indoor world as a striker for the Dallas Sidekicks.

.... more signing's will be announced by Jacksonville FC in the near future.

I'm curious, have any former FESL players gone on to USL or MLS teams?

One of our club teams is currently in talks with a midwestern MLS team to send a player of theirs for a trial. A few others are about to try and crack the the USL this winter during their respective tryouts. The league also had another player who signed for a FESL team but got the chance to trial for a MLS club before the FESL kicked off and thankfully the player in question made it into the MLS.

The FESL has already sent players to the USL, Derek Gambrone to Wilmington Hammerheads & Ignacio Calcagno to Miami FC. Currently the FESL has moved players to England, Ireland, Costa Rica, Argentina, Ecuador,Qatar (don't laugh it paid well), Hong Kong & MISL (Orlando Sharks).

soin other words it will be a team in the Fesl but it will be up to the owners to decide. That sounds like trouble to me but I will pitch in money to get another soccer team in the league.

I could understand having some apprehension towards this franchise, especially as the FESL is still in it's infancy. Thankfully the mold for this franchise has already been poured thanks in part to other similar operations already underway. At the end of the day I'm sure you'll enjoy you're experience as an "owner" and I appreciate your efforts in supporting the game of soccer.

    Bienvenue Miami !

New to the FESL this season, Miami Haiti International will be blending the best up and coming Haitian players with the remaining squad being comprised of the best adult players from Miami & Dade County. Additionally, the city of Miami will also be joining in with Miami Haiti International as an official partner/sponsor.

Club President and former Haitian International player Peterson Jerome will be announcing more information about his club team and their future tryouts in the coming weeks. While Mr. Jerome is fielding an expansion team in the FESL, he's definately not new to the soccer scene in Florida. Peterson is currently in charge of the Haiti Youth Development and Education (HYDE) organization which reaches out to the Haitian communities of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

Panama City Beach Breakers FC information :

The Panama City Beach Breakers Football Club released more club information to the FESL front office on Monday December 22nd.

The Breakers will be directed by club President and founder Phil Rose. Mr. Rose has been actively involved in the Florida soccer community for numerous years via numerous soccer organizations and clubs. Mr. Rose's resume is filled with many accomplishments and coaching licenses and amongst his most noteable achivements is his current PALS (play and learn soccer) academy which has reached out to communities throughout Florida and beyond, including Europe and Asia. Additionally, Mr. Rose was also the assistant coach with the USL based Palm Beach Pumas from 2003-2005. Another addition to Phil's impressive resume is his time with the US National Cerebral Palsy Team and also the US National Deaf Soccer Team.

Breakers FC will not only be providing their players the chance to shine via the Florida Elite Soccer League and the league's affiliated international teams via the Green Pitch Alliance but they will also be bringing in their affiliation with English footballing giants Blackburn FC.

Club President Phil Rose has also announced the Breakers home stadium for the 2009 FESL season as the Breakers will be calling the Freeport Regional Sports Complex & Frank Brown Park as their home fields. The inclusion of both home stadiums will give not only the Panama City Beach population a chance to check out their newest club team but also the outer lying regions of Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola. Confirmed dates for both stadiums will be announced after the 2009 FESL schedule go's public, which is expected to be put out in late February.

Club tryouts will be also be announced in the coming weeks and will be open to all adult and elite youth players from region, including Tallahasse and Pensacola. Tryout and additional club information will be announced via the Breakers website (coming soon) and also via FESLSoccer.com

This is awesome that Florida has a great league like this. Where would you guys rate the talent of this league in regards to the "national pyramid". Around PDL level, above, below?

Do you guys know of similar leagues like this in other states?

Thanks for the respect. As to the level of play, obviously this is coming from a biased point of view but I truly believe we are at a level that is higher then the PDL... in terms of skill on the pitch. The USL provides it's players and fans with a wonderful product and I think they do a great job of trying to bring the sport to every household across the US and Canada. If there was a way the FESL could help the USL, I'd do it in a heartbeat... I'm a big fan of the USL and give them a ton of respect for all of their hardwork over the years.

There aren't many other league's that operate like the FESL around the country. Outside of the PDL and the NPSL, you could really only point to the Pacific Coast Soccer League but they don't promote their product well enough... then again this is coming from someone who lives well outside of their demographics. The FESL won't expand far outside of Florida, however the league's parent company will establish another similar league in another territory in 2010.

Wait till the league holds their winter meeting in three weeks time. Lots of info will be released after all of the club owners meet and discuss the '09 season.

Don't be shy to use the email I listed previously. The owner/coach of Orlando is a great guy and I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you.
