Apparently to channel4.com News, Parma midfielder ferrari is set to be on his way to the capital. Roma are set o give up 2m plus two youngsters which are looking to be Zotti and young defender Bovo. I would like the arrival of Ferrari, but don't want to give away thoe players, especially Zotti. He can be really useful for us next season.
Yep, I posted this news in the Summer Transfers thread. He should be a good addition for Roma. With Chivu, an improved Dellas and now Ferrari to choose from, Roma has a strong group of central defenders - even after losing Samuel and Zebina. As for not wanting to give away the young players ... well, you can't get something for nothing! Look at it this way ... after a couple of years of seasoning, Parma will be looking to sell them again. It's practically a loan.
PERROTTA TOO!!!! ciao puma......... We will have a young and very Italian team next season. Non ci sara la rometta l'anno prossima!! www.goalcity.com
Matteo Ferrari, a defender not a middie. I have seen Cesare Bovo play and he is something to look forward too. Carlo Zotti is a good young keeper but u already have Ivan Pelizzoli. Ferrari for Zotti and money sounds better but i am not in charge. Potential Roma teamsheet for next season (if they get some stars they looking seriously at) Ivan Pelizzoli (ITALY) Christian Panucci (ITALY) Matteo Ferrari (ITALY) Phillipe Mexes (FRANCE) Christian Chivu (ROMANIA) Daniele De Rossi (ITALY) Simone Perrotta (ITALY) Olivier Dacourt (FRANCE) Mancini (BRAZIL) Francesco Totti (ITALY) Antonio Cassano (ITALY) Substitutes:- Traianos Dellas (GREECE) Vincent Candela (FRANCE) Damiano Tommasi (ITALY) Gaetano D'Agostino (ITALY) Vincenzo Montella (ITALY) Marco Del Vecchio (ITALY)
Was looking at some stats...and Ferrari has 4 Yellow cards in 5 games...that's ridiculous!!! And with the rumours that he wants a raise, it wouldn't kill me to see him leave. I'm sure Roma can find a replacement for him. http://www.curvasud.com/asr-statistiche0708.asp
Damn man, are you digging through Roma archives finding these threads? Could have just made a new one if ya wanted to. If Ferrari wants to leave at the end of the season then so be it. I'm sure they'll find someone else. The certainly hit the nail on the head when they bought Juan. I'm sure they can do it again. It would be reassuring to see Andreolli play sometime this season.
Mike's last comment is my first thought. I WANT Ferrari gone because that playing time needs to be going to Andreoli. He's such a good young talent, but if we don't watch it he's going to wind up going somewhere else and developing into something great because we wouldn't give him the time on the pitch.
I was actually being sarcastic because he's been injured all season and there seems to be no end in sight.
Maybe at the end of this season, Andreolli will be healthy and can play as a sub to Mexes and Juan. I believe we own him for another year in part of the Chivu deal...then Roma can either let him return to Inter or possibly go into a blind auction for him. But, i rather Roma get another CB and let Ferrari go...especially if he wants a pay raise for 5 games of action. *ItalianMike - You can make a new thread and merge these posts if you wish*
