I posted a link to our local radio station just higher on the page. Click the link then click on the Davies interview. Apparently Eddie picked up a knock.

He won't miss much this week, as it's a break week, but players who travel long distance get pushed back in the manager's mind. course, right now, that might be avery good thing. the thoughts in the front of BD's mind are not happy ones.
Glad to see multiple players from Derby played as well as Dempsey did today, that team must have potential. I think the only real storyline with this team is to see if it will be able to get fewer than Sunderland's 15 (or was it 16?) points from the '05 - '06 season.
If those are real number for them, that means that's about as much as Derby should expect to get out of their side. That would just be really, really, sad. IMO, the keeper, while making a few good saves, also let in a couple soft ones. In general, there is no such thing as an 8 for a keeper who gives up 6. And to have the defenders rated semi-decently after that is insane. I think if you asked BD and the players themselves, the highest rating they'd hand out would be somewhere in the region of 4.
Tells you the story of what the Premier League is about. In the Colaship effort, running and strength are good enough to get results. In this league mistakes more often than not are expensive, you don't often get the ball given back to you. This was illustrated by Arsenal today. We all know they pass teams to death most weeks, but one incident encapsulated the difference between the top teams in this league and the others. A fairly regulation clearence was hit to van Persie at head height, if that was your average Brit centre forward he'd have flicked it on guessing there was a runner. Van Persie stepped back, killed the ball on his chest then picked a teammate. We're still playing Colaship soccer at a steady level. Liverpool, Arsenal etc. are playing a different game.
Why wouldn't he??? VDV is getting really close to turning into gabby henize to the hamburg fans. the only way he can save his a$$ is get them the title (impossible when munich spent $150 million to make sure they'd win it) but it would've made sense if hamburg loaned benny to derby. then he might have something to play for. and that something is VDV role on the team whenever he F..ks it up F##K FOREVER!!!!! if you don't mind
The thing is I reckon Hamburg's a big enough club to afford a big signing if (ok,when) VdV goes.Don't forget reports indicated Benny preferred a sell or loan if he wasn't getting first team play this year.He didn't want to wait around to see how the VdV scenario played out.
