Finally a pic from the away game in Stuttgart, where Independiente fans among the Stuttgart Ultras (there seems to be a connection) "welcomed" him with a banner:

    Buenas noces.

Is the rivalry between Boca & Independiente really so huge?

No, not at all.. It's because Insua left Independiente for Boca, who was offering him a better contract.. Note the dollar sign in "IN$UA".

The fans did not like that because they needed him that season. Not to mention that when he returned from Russia he told the press that he wouldn't play for any other club in Argentina other than Independiente.. Sure enough, a while later he was sporting the Boca jersey.

Of course I understood the meaning of the $ sign ... however, I thought there would be more rivalry between Boca & River Plate.

Btw: Congrats on the impressive win in Paris. The 2nd half was shown live on German free tv right after the "Germany vs Switzerland" friendly.

It looks like Insua & Borussia will be relegated (and this as Argentinian champion).

What a tough time for all Borussia fans (we have the 2nd largest fanship after Bayern in Germany)! :(

Federico Insua left Borussia Mönchengladbach and signed a new contract in Mexico (for a transfer fee of € 4 million).

It's a pity that it ended this way, since I'm still convinced he's a great football player. Unfortunately, he seems to have problems with the European football mentality and style...

¡Que te vaya bien, El Pocho!
