Scores the opener from the starting lineup, finishing off a Kobylanski cross.

Boyd played the whole match against Borussia Dortmund II, and SVW won 1-0 on a late goal. Thought he might be head-to-head with Cole Campbell, but with three BVB matches today, he didn't make any of the rosters. Justin Butler did sub in for BVBII after the go ahead goal, however.

Edit: Oops - Campbell made the Champions League bench. First roster I saw didn't have him on it errantly.

Boyd starts and scores the opener against Unterhaching, and flashes the Cyclops celly. 1-1 at half.

ESPN is showing Boyd's match for free online today. So naturally, he's not starting. He is on the bench, however.

Cyclops subbed on in the 70th, and took the armband a couple of minutes later when Seegert came off hurt. 2-1 when he came on and that's how it ended. He attempted a flying volley but a defender (foolishly? bravely?) got in the way. Also had a look at a header on a lofted cross from wide right, but headed it wide enough it never even reached the endline. No shame in a road loss to the best team in the league, but they were in this one and could have nabbed a point.

Boyd apparently has fractured a metatarsal, keeping him off today's roster. They don't have another match scheduled until January 19, but even that might be too soon for a foot bone to sufficiently heal to play. Get well soon.
