First win and unbeaten in three; I'll take it! Anyway, the experimentation with Grace and my new camera continues. Some good, some not so good, some so blurry they went straight to digital heaven. The lower the light got, the less usable photos we had, so there's still some setting fiddling to be done. We'll get it figured out eventually. Here's a few of my favourites, more behind the link. Hilarious. Bonus bullet point that I forgot to add to my recap of sorts: There were FCD Academy kids next to me during the first half, and one was telling the group, "We're going to be on TV a lot during halftime, so I'm going to show off all of my moves, like [whatever moves by name - loop-de-loop? Windmill? Stashu of Liberty? Whatever they call fancy soccer moves these days]." Poor kid, I didn't have the heart to tell him that if he got any TV time it's because Dave Dir slipped on a banana peel. To be fair: or Brad Sham. Anyway, lemme know if anyone wants the original, full sized SUPER DARIO shot from the warmups.

LOLOL!!! My hubby knows that we will NOT miss warmups. After that . . . I don't care if they win or lose (not! of course I care!). I will get back with photos and more comments on your photos and Rex's and Grace's after I unpack the groceries (and do some other annoying stuff that gets in the way of what's important -- FCD ). P.S. One of those academy kids was showing off his moves on the way off the field. He did a couple of cartwheels -- and then fell on his hiny. Smooth moves!
Great photos and captions, too! This is quite an interesting shot of Drew . . . looks like he's dancing to the music they play right before the kickoff. Tell Grace I took a lot of shots that look like hers . . . P.S. What's with the extra long sleeves on the guys' jerseys? They cover their hands, even.

The other "half" of my photos are me trying to get decent actions shots, too (not just of Toja) . . . I took over 300, but that will narrow down to much less, because even with decent camera settings, I got a lots of blurred images or heads in my way. Oh, Grace, do you know if the man with the two kids sitting in the row behind us are regulars (they are in Ethan's photo of section 104)? The kids had signs and their faces painted, and I got a couple of good shots of them. I need to get them to him, somehow. I won't post photos of kids.
Maybe. I think there is a family that sits in that area, I see the husband go get snacks from time to time, but don't know if it's that's the same one in your photos.
Yeah, I try not to single any out. In your case, the distance was far enough for my zoom that you really can't make out much (even at full resolution). I broke my rule somewhat for the home opener when a group of kids stopped during the pre-game parade to strike a pose for someone near me.
Plus our daughter in "incognito" with her jacket and FCD cap on. My rule is no full faces, if I can avoid it. There might be some in the pre-game stuff, but no close ups on purpose, anyway of kids. I'll have to make prints of the ones I took of these kids, though and bring them to the next game. They came out really nice.

Las fotos! Even with the better camera and settings, the low light caused for rather blurry looking shots on some. Oh, well -- it's just for fun, anyway! Josh Lambo was pn the field (for part of the time) for the pre-game keeper warm-ups. Altidore & Dax Yeah, I took lots of warm-up photos. Too much fun! (You try jogging backwards!)
Who's the dude with the mohawk?? Osorio was fun to watch on the sideline . . . and occasionally I could even hear what he said. He was not a happy camper for most of the time. Red Bull acrobatics
