Didn't see this mentioned in another thread but my apologies if it's a repetition. Steve Goff (in his Soccer Insider blog at the W.Post) notes a bunch of things (including additional league salary info). But what's relevant to FCD is that he reports that FCD traded "it's natural first round pick" to NE for cap considerations. The ongoing rate in the past (when Chicago and later DCU traded for cap space) was a first round pick so this isn't anything radical. No clue how much cap space this was.
