That's fine. It just was funny to me that you restarted this thread by replying to a post from October of last year.
The issue is how has the team changed from the end of last year. The answer is not much other than the coach. I was able to watch the stream NYCFC had for the DC United game on 4/4/21. DC lost 2-1 but the game was not that close. NYCFC dominated the game for long stretches and if their shooting was better DC would have lost 3 or 4 to 1. I was hoping that the new coach would change the nature of how we played. I didn't see much that was different. The midfield could not maintain possession and was constantly chasing NYCFC. They provide virtually no service to the forwards. The game was played mostly in DC's half with the ball frequently being turned over which would lead to another sustained period of NY possession. My son and I had the same thought that if this is representative of their play, it's going to be a long season. If the team struggles, I hope they give the new coach some resources during the summer transfer window. If not, I can spend more time watching my son's band Sub-Radio play as they prepare to go on tour in the fall.
If the team plays Bennyball I don't think it will be because the coach wants it that way but because it's the only way to play with the roster he has.
