    For instance...

"In a competition of cheating, even with Italian teams, Porto would be the champions."

    or

    "Porto aren't worthy champions"

    or

    "Porto are the worst champions"

    or

"Porto are the worst champions ever"

and so on and so forth. ;)

    Finally the league returns...

Dive by Adriano in the box.

    Reff allows play to continue.

Well it's a nice start for FCP. we won and got the scoring started. Now it's something to build on. The passing needs to be crisper, and hopefully that will come within the next few games before the team plays CSKA

You only have one game until the CSKA match, we have a break for international play.

    Reality check.

FCP dominated in the first half, but Leiria ajusted well in the second half, and came ou strong by having most of the ball control in the second half.

They managed to get a goal, but Cigano's goal coming just at the break of half time was too much for Leiria to surpass.

The thing that stood out the most was Lucho not really being in game shape, considering this was his first match he did quite well.

Where is Dragao's analysis? I can fill in if you guys want?

Guys Porto's dominance showed why they are the best team in the world last night. Quaresma was amazing again he doesn't need to be standing to score goals. And, Helton is still the best goalie in the Superliga hands down. He still hasn't given up a goal in over 20 LIGA games. Yes, he got scored on last night but it didn't really count because it was Pepe's fault and the sun was in his eyes. So, yes, he still hasn't given up a goal in official LIGA play!

You forgot to mention that Co Adriaanse is a brilliant manager, and he proved it again yesterday.

lol. At least you show a sense of Humour. and yes Helton did give up a goal, his first not being a penalty since joining PORTO in real games... How about ADRIANO!!??? WHEN IS THIS GUY NOT GOING TO SCORE!!!??? We talk about how amazing LUCHO is, QUARESMA is, PEPE is, PAULO ASSUNSAO is, MEIRELES, IBSON, AaaaNDERSHOOOOOOW, BAIA, HELTON are but musn't we forget ADRIANO!! He scores 3/4's of our goals! It was the first game of the season, and for that we must be glad to get the 3 points, similar to last years 1-0 victory of Bruno Vale's Estrela which I attended.:D The game could have been easily 3/4-0 after the first half but I'm sure anyone would take the 2-0 lead from Adriano, and Quaresma(Who amerdeirenses forgot too mention got injured by leiria player and lets not forget what happened to Adriano), but Leiria began to risk abit more in the 2nd to recuperate a point but to no avail, scoring a single goal, J.Ferreira made his subs and Porto were dominating the final 20 minutes of the game similar to the beginning. The ref was good but failed on a penalty to Adriano.

What happened to Adriano? A little tiny shove? And he went bawling to the floor like a little girl. He well deserved an actual shove, nevermind the amazingly small push he got yesterday...

Also, amedeirenses, is neither funny, nor wity, it's not even a clever play on a word. It's the equivalent of me saying Porko instead of Porto, IE. not funny. :)

My 2 cents about this game:

Didn't really like or understood JFerreira's decision to start Lucho when he hasn't even played a pre-season game and Ibson had been one of our best players in the midfield. Also, what's up with Porto's last substitution (Lisandro for Lucho)?? We finish the game w/ 4 wingers (alas)? Tarik, Vieirinha, Jorginho and Lisandro! Did anyone else notice that? With 10 minutes to go in the game you swap Lucho for Ibson, not for another winger... JF, get with the program, it could have cost us the game.
Anyway, it might be that he will continue to use the 3D formation in home games against weaker teams. Remains to be seen.
I liked Leiria's attitude in the 2nd half and I think we'll see Leiria fighting for perhaps 4th or 5th place with the likes of Boavista, Sp. Braga and Benfica. :D

Amerdeirenses, IF THAT'S EVEN YOUR REAL NAME!!!???

Porko is pretty funny, but if you check the dictionary it's actually spelled "porco".
