Benfica looked like a bunch of punks out there. The more and more I see Argel play the more I hate that guy!

Benfica, a bunch of punks? How about Jorge Costa's sucker punch on Simao when Simao was laying on the ground? I also believe Costinha slapped Simao at the same time. And God forbid anyone should breathe on Deco. He's the biggest punk of them all. Eder gets a red card when he doesn't even touch Deco.

    Sorry that was my bad.

Hey I call them like I see them. I hate Porto just as much as I hate Benfica so to see them just battle it out like that was just the highlite of my weekend. Deco is as dirty as they come and so is Costa but you guys were all over Deco! Eder that guy is such a waste wasn't it he the one who scored the own goal? And then he goes and get's red carded for being stupid he lost the tie for Benfica as far as I'm concerned. And if anyone argues that he shouldn't of been carded Costa shouldn't of been carded either. Simao went down way to easy. When Costa got a red in the first half there wasn't half the protests as when Benfica got a card. They ruined that game as far as I'm concerned. Your going to talk about Costa being dirty when Argel pushed a player on to the ground. Benfica got out coached and out played pure and simple. All through the month of September I had to hear crap from all these new Benfica posters and now it's my turn!! All of last month I had to hear that Sporting sucked and Benfica was going to win the title. Well guess what? In the last three games you managed to gain 1 whole point and now Sporting, Braga, Guimaraes, and Belenenses are tied with the same amount of points!! Screw Benfica!!!!

It was Benfica's own fault they lost yesterday (even if it seemed that all the calls went against them), Moreira suffered two soft goals, and Jesualdo Ferreira sucks as a coach (He even made bad decisions in the wins). But if Argel was really dirty he would have made sure Deco left the game on a stretcher, pushing a player to the ground isn't any where near as bad as punching a player while he is on the ground. What makes me mad about Deco is that maybe Simao and Joao Pinto go down as much as he does, but don't even get half the calls. Why do the Refs protect Deco so much? And Porto did make as much a scene as Benfica did when Costa got the red.

Costa did not punch Simao. I saw the whole thing and it looked like he went to yell at him about diving and he made a motion with his arm. He was about3 feet away from him. I don't know where you got that from. I didn't see any punches. That is always the story with Benfica they always beat themselves what's new? Porto won fair and square. When costa got carded Mourinho made the ncessary changes by taking Capucho out and Porto never missed a beat. They played the majority of the game 1 man down but still held posession. Benfica just made themselves look bad at the end. Eder why does Benfica even play him he always screw something up.

Re: Re: FC Porto - Benfica 10/20 [R]

I strongly agree that Benfica did not play well at all. With a man advantage, they were not ambitious nor aggressive enough to take advantage of the situation. As the game progressed, I began to wonder, "Which team is a man down, is it Porto or Benfica?" The way Porto dominated it looked as if Benfica had only 10 men on the field.
As a Benfica fan, I am personally disgusted at the immature and irresponsible attitude shown by the palyers of both teams towards the referee. Even if Paulo Costa made errors, confronting and intimidating him is surely not the way to resolve the issue. It is becoming a disturbing sight to regularly witness the poor attitudes on the part of the players of the Portuguese Super Liga. The fault lies with the players but also with the coaches and club administrators that refuse to hold the players accountable for their poor attitudes. Instead, the coaches and administrators are constantly blaming the referees. It is a shame because PORTO-BENFICA was an intense and exciting game but it was ruined by the players attitudes.

I take it back Benfica fan I saw the replay although it was more like a slap. That was a dirty move also. He deserved the red for the slap not the tackle.

Going back to who is the best player in the SUPERLIGA, I would have to say that Deco has surpassed Simao Sabrosa at this time.

But watch out because JVP is coming on strong!!!!!!!!!!!!!
