What is FC New York doing to promote their team other than a parade and autograph Signings. Not much.....How about a roster, updating their website and I have gotton zero from their mailing list ?

Saw them scrimmage and they have some talent. Got to get people in the stands and hello, there is a payroll. Grew up in Flo Valley, Missouri and love the game. They need ink for club and players big time

They did play well in their game against St. John's, but there's been no marketing on campus. If there's anyone you want to come to the games, its college kids at a major school for soccer.

Apparantely nothing, you would at think at minimum they would update their web site, my favorite joke is the Goodfellas and Straphangers Supporters clubs. Their lack of a website presence has been discussed to death on BS...maybe they will update their website when the season starts next week?

I agree that they should be doing more to promote the team and sell tickets. But they have move beyond the fantasy snipe.

have a league to play in; check

have a schedule for this year; check

have a stadium to play in ; check

have a coached and players signed; check and a partial check for players

they have their own youth system (and they built it themselves and stick their name on an existing one); check

I think they have become more of real team then that other NYC team we keep reading about in the news.

I decided go for season tickets.

Hey they meet several important things for me

    1. They exist

    2. It doesn't take me nearly 2 hours to get home from a match ( in fact it will take me about 10 mins )

    3. They are not named after a soft drink

    How much are season tickets?

They are 2 hours from me, so I almost certainly won't be going for them. But I do spend enough weekends down in the city that I can see myself trundling out to Belson for a number of matches here and there, for more or less the same reasons.

I really don't know of and "official" SG but myself and the 20 or so people my wife and I are planning on bringing to the opener should make for a decent "unofficial" SG.

I'm assuming after all the dicking around FCNY did in the beginning and the growth of the Cosmos the Borough Boys won't be too involved with this team?

Debating whether or not to get an ST myself, though would depend on the single game prices, as I wouldn't be able to make all the games.

The Borough Boys have no official position on FCNY, but I do know some will be attending matches. I don't speak for them as I'm not a BB I'm NYCF.

I honestly don't understand the people behind this club, their season starts in two days and they have not promoted or did any type of marketing. With the Cosmos bringing in a PDL I believe the cosmos will attract more fans than FCNY just bc of the buzz that there is out there about the cosmos.

Totally agree and I believe that if this fails, it will not have much to do about wins/losses. Got to promote your product which should be a no-brainer. I wish them well and I ecspect to attend at least 6

I agree they have done nothing that I know of here in Queens to get the word out about their team. I think that is really silly on their part. They have players (especially the 2 irish boys) that they can market locally. I have seen on their website they have made some appearences out on the Island but how many or where, I couldn't tell you.

During the St. John's scrimmage they were wearing black and grey ones for some odd reason. There were even polka dots on them! May be training ones though but there were numbers on them.

I did see that scrimmage. Very impressed with the Right Back with blonde hair who seems to be a shut down defender who is quick, strong and moves forward well. Think they called him Brandt. Also the bald fellow in the middle was very good. There is talent there.

Just going from my little research.. Brante must be Brent Brockman and I believe the bald guy might be Sam Craven

Yes maybe they were saying Brent and the kid is a skilled gamer. They have some great finds. Wish they would put some bios with their listed roster. Thanks for the info.
